Well, are you sure you saved the edit? And did you have a user name? Because sometimes people don't like it when someone edits a page that hasn't logged on.

Because your fun fact was false.

And it's not smart to keep adding something when it keeps being reverted, just to tell you.

That happens to me too. I contributed a fact that 1-up's spin seems to be a Crash Bandicoot, or Tasmanian Devil reference, but it was taken down. :((

Ah, well.

Ah, well.

Was it placed on the talk page or the STUFF page? If not, put it back.

Ugh...a toughie. For me, I suddenly gave up 'round November and ditched for the H*R Fanstuff Wiki. Then around May I started to blend in, contributing about a bit more each day or random period in a week. But all of my edits aren't really anything major- though I know I've contributed to things and reorganized stuff for others to get their leg up on the pile and bake some Chekts. *cheesy wink*

I didn't find out about the forums until after a good month or two after finding out about the wiki.
I love the H*R wiki, and read it all the time, like a newspaper.
I occasionally edit the wiki as well, because I like to improve this newspaper just as much as anyone else.

but it was true, the "Any Maybe Tenderfoot to" is too much like "And sometimes Weebls friend Bob" to be mere coincidence.

I bet you most of the wiki population will disagree. This is why we have STUFF.

The most major edit I've made is somewhat obscure--the fact that the Strong Bad and Homestar screensavers were made using the program Bitbull (which I think y'all can download free from somewhere), and that the Bitbull logo appears if you try to change the settings on either screensaver (somebody kindly helped me put this on the wiki). I also corrected a spelling error or two. That's about it.

I tried to edit the wiki, but everything got messed up. I was trying to write the begining of the boring (really) transcript, and the entire page became enclosed in the little strongbad email box. My edit didn't show up on the page, but it was there. I tried to fix it, but everything became more crazy. Next someone fixed the page and put it in the new box. Later, someone just replaced my entire edit with an entire transcript, and I settled for just trying to bold the character names in the transcription. Someone beat me to it. I guess I'll keep try.

It's hard to do a transcript. I usually just don't do transcripts (mainly because some one already added one, or because I know when I finish someone would've already beaten me to it).

Keep try!

I'd really like to know who can get the transcripts up so fast. They're usually up within fifteen minutes of the update! I haven't transcribed anything in nearly a year. (last one was TGS 6)

The last transcript I did was The Best Decemberween Ever. Eh...

I did my first transcript today. I watched the vids from Austin and typed all I heard. When I got to the wiki to put it up, someone else (Philip, I think) had put one up. I went in and edited it, added stuff to it and formatted it. My format probably stinks, but I followed a Strong Bad Email for the formatting, so it's close.

I just finished the transcript for the South by SouthWest Public Appearance type thing...That was annoying. It's will probably benefit 0 amounts of people. A lot fo times, i'll just hit the 'random page' button and see if i feel like contributing to the page brought up...

The only real "huge" edits I've done are the Stinkomanual Level 5 and the transcript for Misson Control. I consider myself very lucky to have the opportunity to do a transcript. (With some help from Ju Ju Master)

I've pretty much left the Wiki and joined the forum. I know you're all pretty bummed.

I fixed DTP's hideous contextual mistakes on the Sightings page a few weeks ago. Um, that's all I can remember right now.

Oh, and I pointed out the link between Tendafoot and the Boy Scout rank Tenderfoot.

Ooh, and I put on the "japanese cartoon" page that http://www.stinkoman.com went directly to that email. You can still travel around the site, but the page title remains "Japanese Cartoon".

I made a "Robot Teacher" page, but they deleted it.

I guess I'm a Wiki Gnome. I've made a bunch of edits, but they're all minor.

I'm actually more proud of creating the Biz Cas Fri thread than anything I've ever done on the Wiki...

What, the one from TGS? It's a minor character, so check the relavant page. I'm sure yout article's there.

Yeah, they moved it into the Secondary Characters page. That's what I meant. However, the "Robot Teacher" page itself was baleeted.

DTP, if you would kindly look at the differences:

DTP's rendition wrote:
=== ''StrongBad, '05: A year to remember'' ===
- In a yearbook published in 2005(By "Taylor") for a Middle School in Greenville, South Carolina, StrongBad appeared in one of its multiple, advertisement-filled pages. Under the subtitle "Internet," the publishers printed what they thought the internet meant to middle schoolers. Alongside the paragraph, a picture of a StrongBad Hooded Jacket was placed next to a quote about buying clothing and apparel off of the world wide web.

TEF's rendition wrote:

Beat that, PUNK!

I read the wiki all the time, making me a real homestar expert compared to my friends, but I have never actually contributed. I have submitted a fun fact or two, but they never made it through the STUFF process. Also, I came on the wiki one time when there was a new e-mail out, and the article wasn't done yet. I thought I was going to be clever and write it, and that would have been really cool, but completely by accident I ended up refreshing the page and there was more text there the next time. The article was being written while I was watching and I didn't realize it and almost tried to edit it myself! Now that would have been embaressing.
Oh, and thanks for pointing out that homestarrules thing. I didn't even know it was there.

Not entirely. Happens all the time, actually. It's really just a race to see who hits the "Save page" button first.

Eh, sometimes it's not.

Take Biz Cas Fri 3, for example. Once I started doing the transcript, the others backed off and worked on the rest of the article. It's cool like that.

That's because they knew you were doing the 'script.

Dur. :)
