I don't mean to belittle anyone's feelings, but when someone pulls a joke on an established day for joking, you really should see it coming, not get anxious, roll with the punches, and have a good time.

By the way, anyone who is threatening to leave is just fooling him- or herself. Where would they go? But the point is moot because at the stroke of midnight (ET), April 2, all was restored.

In short, everything is fine, nothing is ruined.

They care... they were trying to spark some memories man. You need to chill out. Do you have no sense of humor? Do you have no sense as when to stop acting crazy? We told you it was a joke. You didnt listen. Im sorry, but I have to be frank, if you cant listen and realize what they were doing and then forgive them and yourself for this madness then I really dont want you here.

Hah! I knew it must have been a April Fools Day joke. I mean, who in their right mind would actualy switch their Wiki software for real on April Fools day. And the name... WikiTikiTava... it's so ridiculous that it's a dead giveaway. They might as well have been switching to OogaaBogaaBogaa.

The only question now is: What will they do NEXT year?

Did you all catch Google's "Google Romace" anouncement today? That was an April Fools joke too, you know. They do one every year.

...Ok COLA. It's April Fools day. It was an April Fools Joke. It was the same Wiki, just with a different look. In fact, it's back to normal now. Except...now it's using that new crappy look wikipedia just adopted.

I don't see how the name could be a dead giveaway since the wiki originally ran on WikiTikiTavi. If anything it suggested that the prank was real, like we were converting back to what we thought worked best.

I understood it immediately. 'Twas quite funny. But it makes me sad that some people who took it seriously didn't even give the thing a chance. Shows how much they care. Just change the wiki's look and they start leaving.

Nonetheless, it was a well-made prank and I really like it how you guys tried to convince people that it's real. I give you a thumbs-up, even though it had some bad consequences.

Omg... this was for April Fools??? No wonder it coincided with April 1st...I only found out it was a joke by going to HR Wiki's Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homestar_Runner_Wiki). April Fools always seem to get me.

Wait, even though I tried switching skins, why did the actual MediaWiki Monobook skin look so retro?

I don't like this "holiday" one bit...though the Wikipedia is great.

Phlip and It's dot com fixed it up so it looked as much like WikkiTikkiTavi as possible. They did a good job, don't you think?

Once a year is not nearly enough. What you guys should do is pick a random day and pull another one of these pranks. It'll throw everyone off. "Happy July 19th Fools Day!"

Heh. I have to admit it had me going until I viewed source and so that it was telling MediaWiki to load a skin. That was a dead-giveaway. Although it was hard not to believe you guys, you were so convincing. But you gotta be very careful on April 1st to believe a load of whats-it like that. hahaha... So by an hour after I first heard I was convinced it was all just a joke. And a GREAT ONE AT THAT.

Let me say, a lot of people on here must not have much of a sense of humor! lol. Getting all uppity! This was an actual "prank," which is what your supposed to do on April Fools... you guys out-did TBC this year! They could have done something better than just flip stuff upside down.

I think it was a hillarious prank. If it garnered this much attention, you did well!

My all-time favorite April Fools joke was the one that happened when I was just a kid. A local radio station's morning crew began reporting that the federal government had decided that we were going to switch to "Metric Time." No more 60 seconds in a minute anymore, it's all decimal. And people were dumb enough to fall for it. That's right, some people are that stupid.
