Not entirely. Happens all the time, actually. It's really just a race to see who hits the "Save page" button first.

Yeah, I know. I got the first two fun facts up yesterday, but it took about four tries to actually get it saved.

Yeah. Which is cool. I would have thought that someone would have written the rest as I was still writing.

I'll agree that it's hard to get something done with the crazy efficiency that the Wiki has now.

I shy away from doing any editing on the wiki, because by the time I find out about new Homestar stuff, a complete article has already been written by the community.

I'm also sheepish about adding any extra notes on one toon or another to the wiki, because I don't want to step on the wikipedians' toes. The only times I made edits to the wiki at all was in contributing to a talk page where I witnessed hostility to "over-fun-facting."

And I haven't actually made a hrwiki account, I've just done anonymous editing ... hm.

By the way, I KNOW this place is not Wikipedia. I call Wiki users "Wikipedians" no matter what wiki community I go to. Mmk? Mmk.

I've transcribed the Li'l Brudder and maybe Tenderfoot Too show!

That makes me cool, right?

It's hard to transcribe stuff nowadays.

Hey, you're cool anyway. ;)

It is terribly hard to transcript things nowadays. I'm lucky that I caught MC and BCF3 right when they were updated. I got the screenshot, the transcript, some of the basics...

Biz Cas Fri 3 is my baby.

Yeah, it is getting really hard nowadays, but it's great that so many people want to help. I half tramscribed Mission Control, Acekirby did about 2/3 of it, but I did some of the things that were harder to hear, so it worked out.

It was my birthday too, so it sort of like a present. The first (and so far only) H*R toon I transcribed.

I made my first significant edit in weeks today.
I was also taught how to edit the What's New.

Well, I finally managed to add something significant to the wiki--specifically, a real world reference in action figure. I did some research and looked up various action figures to make sure I wasn't talking out of my (explosive saucer pants) ... It also helps owning the toy in question, as well as a recording of said commercial from long ago. (Petestock '95, baby!)

Anyway. I guess I'll find out if it's an acceptable offering or not. Or if I'm totally wrong about this.

I'm never quick enough to do a full transcription, but I frequently put in trivia or take out/edit something that I know is way off or whatever.

I've done lots of stuff with Marzipan's Answering Machine, some of the Holiday Cartoons, and other pages. Some very significant edits, and some very minor edits. I've also added information in the top paragraphs, and changed a lot of pargraphs without inner-wiki links and made them "linkable."

i would love to become one of the regular, maybe even semi-major contributors. but im always afraid i will put up a wrong fact or something, and besides, everything is already done. I n short, i just tend to do spelling and grammar stuff, as an anonymous contributor.

Or, more likely, it'll be deleted.

But don't let that stop you from editing! Be bold!

I read the Wiki like its my own personal Bible.
I've only made a few edits though. I never feel comfortable about things like that. I always feel like I'm going to mess it all up.

Don't feel like that! The Wiki can always use more Wiki Gnomes. You know, fixing spelling, grammar, that sort of thing. There's always a place for contributors. Even Anonymous.

Erm.

    a·non·y·mous
    adj.

    1. Having an unknown or unacknowledged name: an anonymous author.
    2. Having an unknown or withheld authorship or agency: an anonymous letter; an anonymous phone call.
    3. Having no distinctive character or recognition factor: “a very great, almost anonymous center of people who just want peace” (Alan Paton).

You know we have a dictionary, right? :)

Welcome to the Wiki!

I guess that the previous owner gave s the domain, seeing that H*R.net has been gone for a while now. They think we can put it to better use.

I'm curious as to what we're going to do with it. That's a very awesome domain to have and I'm somewhat jealous that Joey gets to have some fun with it. Hopefully we'll put it to good use!

Personally, I'd like to see the forum moved there, or a new forum placed there.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. It would've been better to aquire it when we had all the bandwith problems, that way the forum could have gone there, on a seperate server.

Whoa why was I not informed of this? Homestarrules sort of grew out of the dot net, so maybe we can get more members from there over here. Probably not though. It's a different attitude over there.

Actually, I'd rather see the wiki at homestarrunner.net than the forum, so that way people see the wiki first and they don't think the forum is the main place here.

The only thing I ever edited was TGS 10. I added some fun facts and Wikipedia links.
