Because I started a thread about giving awards to the threads and posters on the HRWiki Forum, but mistakenly called it "Wiki Awards" instead of "Forum Awards". You have to admit, "Wiki Awards" sounds slightly better. Also, Lunar Jesters is apparently planning to start a real "Wiki Awards" in the Fanstuff section of the Wiki itself.

Because JoeyDay, having created this forum, deserves having the Wiki Awards named after him. Winning a Joey also sounds better than winning a Wiki.

And now, before anyone mentions something like this, here will be some modifications in the 2006 Wiki Awards.
-renaming (2006 Wiki Forum Awards)
-elimination of "Most Intelligent Poster"
-nomination thread will be created- Wikiers can nominate
-with the above said, "Favorite Poster" can be created without hurting anyones feelings
-Tom and AgentSeethroo will be on the "Best Administrator/Moderator" nominee list
-hopefully, many more Wikiers will be nominated (instead of just the non-n00bs)
How does that sound?

Yay! I love forum awards! You can expect my votes sometime...in the future. Voting is always such a long and tedious process, for me anyway. It seems there are always two posters whom I simply can't decide between. We'll see how the Wiki Awards go.

Well, I was originally going to close the voting booths today, but I haven't for two reasons:

1. Only 20 people have voted! That's 20/1239ths of the people on this forum! Come on! Yous guys can do better than that! What would the Academy Awards be like if one or two people just picked the people they thought were best (unless that's already what happens)? You can do it! Vote!

2. I haven't made the awards yet...

So, voting will end on Monday, February 21st (I get back from Florida that day) and the Joeys will be awarded on Tuesday, February 22nd. So vote, guys! Vote!

umm...out of curiosity, in the "For Threads" section, if one wins, does the Joey get PMed to the creator to put up for creating such an awexome thread, or do you just go around posting them up?

I'd imagine they'd be PMed, but I hope TEF does post an example so those of us who aren't nominees or winners can see what they look like. Anyway, TEF is on vacation so we'll have to wait until Monday to find out!

Yaaah! I'm so sorry guys, but I just got back on the Wiki right now and found all of these posts!

I finished making the awards a few days ago, but I must warn you: they don't look that great. I'm just an amateur at computer art. As soon as I put the finishing touches on them, I'll post them here.

Ooh, and No Toppings, thanks for the trophy! Yay! I got a trophy!
