I read the Wiki a lot, but I've never made an edit. Not that I've been a member for very long. If I saw something that I thought needed editing, I would definately do it. Just haven't had the chance yet, really. And to be honest, I didn't know you were really "supposed" to be a member of the Wiki before joining the forum. So I joined afterwards. I found the Wiki a while before I joined the forum, though. But I didn't register then.

It's not mandatory to be a member of the Wiki if you're on the forum, but it's really a good idea to be. Just think aboput how many wiki members we have, and compare it to the Forum members.

It's about time. It's only been like 7 months. I know how the wiki can be a little confusing, so if you need some help, don't be afraid to ask.

Ya, when I first started doing edits, I was really scared that I was going to mess up everything. And now, about a month later, I'm still really scared that I am going to ruin everything. It's just so confusing(?)...

I'd build a new up-to-date graph for you peoples, but for some reason CPanel is only showing me this month and the last. But for the record, we used about 137GB for the Forum and Wiki last month.

I've put together a little something with the infomation Jones is talking about here.

The graphs are nice.

April 18, 2005 bandwidth report.

Enjoy.

I'm glad Fanstuff isn't that much of a problem... yet.

I think it's just hard to coordinate.

Maybe we could organise social gatherings at the chat rooms. That would keep people interested. And also make us feel like homemakers.

Hm. Perhaps I could create a nice place to organize things, no?

I was thinking of a Homsar's Gravy Train Lounge in Fanstuff, with a page and then the talk part could be where people would talk about Homestar and company. You know, like one big topic. Would that be OK if I made that?

The fanpage is where you can make just about H*R. I see nothing wrong if you made that.

Kinda reminds me of the real community in Tavi. I'll assume you don't want me needlessly reminising, so... I won't.

Why are my edits never accepted?

Just half an hour ago I made an edit to the Pay Plus page stating that if Strong Bad had 230+ emails, he would have switched over to his inkjet printer which means it would be on his desk since inkjet printers don't support perferated paper which falls down from the ceiling where Strong Bad has camoflauged his printer to be.

If you look at the page's history, it usually gives a fair explanation of why an edit was reverted. In this case, Jay wrote "Doesn't really add anything to the article", and I would tend to agree. In many cases, hower, simply phrasing your content more effectively gives it a better chance of being accepted.

I'm a Wiki Gnome. Sometimes I'll make noticiable edits, but most of the time I just correct grammar, spelling, and add things in as I see fit.

I'm confused on why people keep saying "I'd edit, but I'm afriad I'll mess something up". It's stated all over the wiki to be bold and don't be afraid about messing something up- everything can be reverted back to normal if necessary.

Then again, people too are always asking "Why was my friggin' edit removed?! I'll kill you all, jerks!"

That's why...that and the fact that it seems like when I have something to add, someone has already beaten me to it! Oh, and as for the ongoing projects...well, I'll have to get more computer-literate before I tackle those!

Oh - I'd be glad to do that; I didn't think we needed any more on the welcome commitee...

I never contribute to the wiki. But, I post a lot. Soon, I'll have 300 posts.. Just wait for my new Ultra cool 300 posts banner... I'm working on it as we speak. Trust me, it'll be my best banner yet.

Well, it's always a good idea to do some things on the Wiki. Even I make edits on the wiki, though most of them are on the STUFF page.

Well, I just did my first fairly major editing in quite some time. I realized there were no pages for the places SB visited in Vacation so I put 'em up. Satisfying.

I've been reading the wiki for a while, but never made an edit. Very useful resource though.

Yay! Congrats.

So, anywho, I just worked on the Stinkoman 20X6 Fun Facts, which used to (and still kind of does) look terrible. I dumped the crappy facts and put capitals and grammar where needed. Go, me, go!
