I loved the first Guitar Hero, and I'm definitely in the "The Brothers Chaps are not sell-outs, and this is totally awesome" camp on this.

I think COLA seems to be the only person here who's not in BucketHand's camp, jon.

...

XDDDD

Funniest thing I read all day. STOP OVERREACTING.

I doubt children will have the capability of playing Guitar Hero. Nor would their parents let them. OMG NAUGHTY LANGUAGE. Then again, look at all the kids playing GTA. Either way, I doubt they'd have the capacity to make enough dots connect that by playing Guitar Hero 2 they'd find themselves on a fansite for a cartoon which had a song for a game they played unless they're smart and probably not really annoying kids at all.

As for...stoners...because this is a game where you play a guitar means that "stoners" are going to be playing it? How utterly stereotypical of you! (Which comes from a guy who says children aren't smart!!!)

In any case, does a song being in a video game mean your viewing of Homestar Runner is totally detracted? If, on the odd chance there ARE millions of kids and stoners coming to the forums (seriously, what? And why THIS fansite, of all places?) then just stop coming here and watch Homestar unassisted. It's fun trying not to overcomplicate things with trying to analyze Homsar's speech patterns and trying to dig out really obscure references.

Hold it!

Why would we listen to you? Your stupid predictions mean nothing.

And why would we be saying "Why didn't we listen to Cola?"? Even if someone were to listen to your disjointed speculations, nothing would happen. If everyone in this forum listened to you, and believed you, nothing would happen. The song is already in the game, and has already been shipped. There's nothing that Believing you can do.

Next, idiotic stoners and children? Come now. I don't that demographic would pay much attention to who wrote the song, or it's origin. Really, without knowing the inside joke of the song, it's not really that significant. As a standalone, it is weak. I doubt that stoners/idiot children would put the effort into searching "Strong Bad emails" with Google. Let alone finding their way from the wiki to the forum. Let alone register.

And so what, there are alot of idiots that come here anyways to make a topic about how much they like homestar. It's nothing that we can't handle.

Really, if you are that worried about the forum being ruined, leave. You can avoid all the stoners/children that you fear and hate with every fiber of your being, and we don't have to listen to you bull Unconformity speeches. Win-Win.

EDIT: lolol, simupost.

In addition, Sure. People that like Guitars and video games are stoners. You go ahead and generalize.

EDIT:

Chill out guys, really. Stop piling on COLA for his nonstandard, admittedly somewhat strange, opinions.

Really, if he can't say something in public openly, then he has no reason to PM it to me. Obviously he's mad that we're picking apart his statements and in an obscurer sense proving him wrong. So, since he can't think of anything intelligent to rebut with, he choses to rely on petty threats in private. If you have something to say to me, post it here so everyone can see it.

...K, I'm going to go request that Phoenix wright sprites get added to the emoticon-menu thing.

Completely unrelated note, but last night I had a dream that I got arrested and Phoenix Wright was my attorney.

I won't say what I got arrested for, though, 'cause it's a little un-forum-friendly.

First video of Trogdor

Ok, I can't really form much of an opinion. That video was really, really crappy. I could hardly even hear the song over his strumming, and he missed like half the notes. That guy needs to turn up the sound.

*caaaarefully skips around the flame war*

Normally I don't like Trogdor and all related content that much compared to the other content of the site, but a Guitar Hero song is probably the inspiration I need to start playing the game.

Now I gotta find where they sell the first game in Perth, which means by the time the second one comes out in Australia I'll be good enough at the first game to be able to unlock Trogdor in the second one.

..if that made any sense.

woo playstation!

A much better video

Yes, in Co-op you get to be the dueling guitar Solos.

And it sounds almost exactly like the album version. I see no error here. Unless Cola, you implying that the Trogdor song sucks.

Cola, with all due respect, maybe you should take into consideration that it was just a bad video, and not a bad game. The second video that I was looked amazing. I'm no good at these games, but that looked like enough for me to get it.

Awesome! I think this is a nice little nod to TBC and thier little site that could that their song be used in this game. In no way is this selling out. Look up KISS on Google or the Wikipedia if you want to know what selling out really is.

No offence to any KISS fans (although I've never offended any KISS fans by saying this before) here but they've put their names and faces on just about everything including a professional wrestler. When a Strong Bad lookalike turns up on RAW you'll know they've sold out.

Lol, whut?

I assume you're saying that it's a tribute to Homestar Runner, in that case I would say that you're wrong. That would be Copyright Infringement, etc etc. And they would have to re-record everything, including Strong Bad's Voice. So... No. Assuming that assumption is true.

What I'm saying it's a tribute to TBC's achivements that the makers of Guitar Hero II approached them to include Trogdor in thier game. It never ceases to amaze me how Homestar Runner has become part of pop culture.

i'm so glad that the trogdor comes in the NIIIIIIIIIIIGH!

but just to put my two cents in the silly argument going on, the only kid i know who plays guitar hero much is a straightedge kid. and by kid i mean 20 year old college student not unlike me. and i think he likes homestarrunner already anyway. actually i should tell him about this, i dont think he knows.

Anyway, these are all the bonus songs in the game, taken from a finished version:

I'm a huge fan of Guitar Hero and figured you guys would be interested.

I had been looking into this game for some time, but Trogdor pretty much solidified the purchase.
