So... how long will it take to get to one million posts? Let's see how many days it took to get to each mark:

100000: 355 days
200000: 514 days
300000: 641 days
400000: 770 days
500000: 958 days

Okay, now let's look at how many days it took between each 100,000:

0-1: 355 more days
1-2: 159 more days
2-3: 127 more days
3-4: 129 more days
4-5: 188 more days

So... does anyone want to predict the date of the millionth post?

The earliest would probably be September 18, 2008. That's if the quickest pace we've ever had (100K posts in 127 days) kept up for the next 500,000 posts. If the slow pace we're at now kept up, it'd be July 20, 2009, but the forum always goes slower during the school year, so that probably won't happen either. Right in between there would be February 17, '09, but I'm guessing the forum could make it just before the end of 2008.

Well, it wasn't really a fight. More of a converse. And what does that word mean? My spell check says it is a word. Isn't it "To talk"?

converse is a verb. you need a noun. conversation is the noun form of converse.

Hmm, I was pretty sure I got congradulated by some mod at the beginning of my time here on the forum for getting a milestone numbered post. If that's true, I would have had to have made the 300,000th post, but obviously that's not true. I'm a couple of posts above the real one by BTG.
