Mike, Matt, and Ryan made an appearance at Georgia Tech last week. They brought along Flash 5 and animated a brief clip of Homestar walking and talking. The current Quote of the Week ("talk and mouth move") was recorded for this appearance. They showed the Bonus Strong Bad Email for the upcoming 5th disc of the DVD, and several other shot clips or images never seen before. They answered questions at the end of their 25-minute presentation (and did some voices too, of course).

(Transcript is a work in progress. The transcript and video contain mature language. Edit 5/4/07: Censored transcript is up.)

That was fun to read. The bonus email was good as well. I can't wait for strongbad_email.exe Disc Five to come out so I can watch it properly.

Sweet. Huge props to Georgia Tech for the high-quality video.

Edit: Wow, it's amazing how quickly they're able to sync the dialogue. Clickclickclickclickclickclickdone!

Edit 2: I really recommend that everybody watch this. It's highly entertaining, and TBC pay lip service to the Wiki several times. Love! We also get a sneak peek at some TMBG stuff, and they talk about the next Peasant's Quest, the Atari 2600 games, and Stinkoman level 10.

Also, I would totally buy an "SB style" t-shirt.

That video was totally fun to watch! I'm such a geek when it comes to behind-the-scenes, nifty extra material.
It was amazing how they could come up with something so quickly, like when Matt did Strong Bad's voice.

So many great things about that video...
  • Getting to watch some animation in progress, including the "doink"
  • Promoting the merits of Flash 5 (I never even noticed that feature)
  • The as-of-yet-unreleased bonus email (which is a riot!)
  • Their shout-out to all us here at the wiki
  • Cartoons they did for They Might Be Giants kids' songs
  • Hearing TBC put down Happy Tree Friends
  • Impromptu Strong Bad rambling

Ugh, the video never finishes downloading for me. The farthest I've gotten is 54% and then it says it's unavailable and I can't resume the download.

The censored transcript is up.

Also, if you haven't seen the video or read the transcript yet, there's a little mention in there about another baby on the way.

I just re-downloaded the whole thing, so the problem is unfortunately on your end. :(

From what I've read, Disc Five will contain the next thirty emails, from BORING (REALLY) (#131) to COLORING (#160).

Dag, yo. I'll just have to keep trying, I guess... Unless someone sets up an alternate mirror?

Wow, first seeing Mike with a beard was a bit off-putting, but now seeing Matt with one is just a bit weird.

But anyway, we now have confirmations of Stinkoman level 10, another collaboration with TMBG, another CD, and more Peasant's Quest stuff.

This is amazing. I need to watch the entire thing when I have enough time.

Cool. I wondered where that quote of the week came from.

Also, how do you view the video?

Quicktime can support it, I know that much.

Oh, maybe I won't watch it then.
I don't have much memory, and I'm sharing my computer... darn.

Memory and hard drive space are not the same thing. Downloading a big file will not change the amount of available memory you have, it will only take up free hard drive space, and you can always delete the file once you're done with it.

i think he means he won't remember it, so he'll have to keep it on there and watch it every once in a while so he'll remember it.

There's something related to this topic I've wanted to talk about.

Is it really necessary to transcribe every single "uhm" and "err"? Some of the transcribed DVD commentaries or interviews are really ludicrous and sometimes a bit hard to understand. TBC are obviously not extremely good public speakers and they tend stutter a lot (which is totally understandable).

That Ryan Sterritt. He's such a blabbermouth. I mean, let someone else talk for a change!
