Hi, I just registered so that I could ask this question. And I am aware that it is completely ridiculous, but here it goes. It seems that Homestar is stuck inside my computer screen. What I mean by that is that there's this animation of him pressing his face against the computer screen that keeps randomly appearing, and I don't know why. I didn't download anything from the site, and it doesn't seem to reference anything else on the site. It's funny and all, but it just started appearing, even before I went on the Homestar site today. So I was just wondering if someone could tell me where it came from?

Well, it sounds like the old Screen Saver that used to be up on the site. But you said that you didn't download anything, right?

Wow, i just found it on my hard drive, and it is the old screen saver (it's a Mac Classic application, so that's why I hadn't seen it before. I had to run Mac Classic for some other thing earlier today). Still doesn't explain where I got it from, though. Weird. Maybe I did try to download it long ago or something. Thanks for telling me what it was

No problem. And are you sure that no-one else downloaded it instead? A sibling, perhaps?

Further, are you sure that you're not making this all up to pull our chains? If so, it's pretty good.

No no, this happened to me once. When I was taking a look at the screensavers, I watched them and didn't give them another thought. Then, later, the SB screensaver was set as my default one. Just right click your desktop, hit "properties," go to the screensaver tab, and choose another one. Problem solved!

Yeah, something like that happened to me as well. I think if you just look at it however you have to look at it nowadays it ends up booting off your old screensavers and latching that onto your compy.

(it scared the bejeebers out of me the first time it happened, because I had actually turned my screensavers off ^^;; )

So let that be a warning to you peoples! If you look at the old screensavers, go and change your settings back when you're finished!
