Y'know, in the sb-email 'band names', where he suggests three band names: Limozeen, Big Nife, and Taranchula.

Limozeen and Taranchula went on to become inside jokes, but Big Nife never went anywhere, it just fleeted. Why did that happen?

Probably because Bigg Nife wasn't really that good of a band name anyway.

Lazor should have showed up somewhere later, though.

Wasn't Big Nife a response to a joke from an early sbemail? Like Strong Bad paint a picture of a guy with a knife, and Stinkoman having a knife in his debut?

I think Bigg Nife was an injoke with big knives.
As is Lazor.

Lazor, to show up later in 'new hands', but, call me crazy, I just thought Bigg Nife had possibilities...like a brand name.

Brand names are easy.

Take bawls, for example. If you can get guys to put something called bawls in their mouth, any brand name can sell.

Man, now I want to see Big Knife and Lazor. Maybe Limozeen, Taranchula, Big Nife, and Lazor could team up and record a Number One Jam! Strong Bad would love that so much... :sb:

I heard there were some kids who took the name Bigg Nife for their band, but apparently they broke up before they played anywhere. I can't imagine that name succeeding anywhere, even in the Strongbadiverse.

As ChickenLeg pointed out, Bigg Nife and Lazor never actually show up as real bands, but they are employed in other capacities. We see elsewhere that Strong Bad is somewhat obsessed with big knives, so when he tries to think of a band name, it's no surprise that this is what comes to mind. Also, the word "laser" is frequently (dare I say almost always?) spelled "lazor" in the world of H*R, perhaps as a tribute to Strong Bad's deliberate, totally rockin' misspelling.
