Okay, previous comments on my 'Toon of the Month' poll - most notably that too few toons are created in a month, so there's no real competition - have led me to believe that it should be replaced by a new poll which has more poll options, most probably a 'Toon of the Season' poll. However, I was in the process of creating one for Spring '07 when I realised that even I couldn't make up my mind what my favourite toon was: there were just too many strong toons! What's more, this would have to include so many poll options that there would be no clear winner and so many of those poll options wouldn't be able to compete with the others.

As an alternative, I guess we could hang on to 'Toon of the Month', and, in conjunction, we could have 'Toon of the Season' and 'Toon of the Year' polls: what you'd do is take the winners of the monthly polls and use them for the seasonal poll, and then you'd use the winners of the seasonal polls for the annual poll. I feel this is our best alternative as it keeps the number of poll options low, meaning the results are clearer and more people get involved, and it also promotes those lively debates which you just don't get in 'Toon of the Month'.

However, at the end of the day, all I want to do is make sure you guys get involved and enjoy doing so, so what do you think? If you have any suggestions, please post.

I don't mean to sound harsh or anything, but I don't think that a lot of people care too much about this.

Besides that, I personally think that the best option is Toon of the Month in conjunction with Toon of the Season and Toon of the Year.

I think you should do Toon of the Month, but if there aren't at least 3 or 4 toons, you should combine it with the next month.

I say the idea about the season and year is a very good one. I've always wondered which is liked best. And if there ever aren't enough, you can always use the second place ones too.
