Disk made good point, but I gotta be anal retentive about one thing -

Comedy Central has TONS and TONS of original (as far as I know) series. If you meant animated then okay, but they've made a lot of original series since South Park was aired there.

Comedy Central might have original things, but I still can't stand to watch it.

I don't think Homestar would really be all that great on television, but I guess if they can turn ATHF into a movie they can make just about anything work.

One flaw with your thinking there.
The ATHF was a real stinker.
I LOVE that show and I couldn't stand the movie.
The only way I've found that it's watchable is to watch it in 15 minute chunks.

I'm guessing you weren't totally baked while watching it, then.

Um, I don't see what would be wrong with putting existing Homestar Runner cartoons on TV if any networks wanted to run them. It'd promote the site. :)

I don't think it'd be a good idea to MAKE homestar cartoons specifically for TV unless maybe it's a commercial or something.

A movie might be a good idea though. The characters could leave Free Country USA on some kind of long quest like Yellow Dellow. it'd be a huge ambitious project though

Listen, it would not work for reasons people have already said. It would ruin how the site is, some people don't have access to the TV, and it would take much of the control over it from TBC. Don't think it should be televised, it shouldn't be. TBC has been offered it and turned it down, so obviously it won't happen. A movie would suck, unless by "movie" you mean "10-30 minute toon."

Did you read what Nerd42 wrote? He or she was talking about televising existing toons that are available on the site, not making new ones especially for TV.

Oh. That MIGHT work, but still I don't think it's a very good idea. The way it is now is fine.

Well, if they had a thing where occasionally they showed an existing toon on television, that wouldn't be so bad, would it?
