I'm sure that everyone noticed this. Using that new tool, anybody can make a stinkoman comic in mere minutes and save it (in Windows) by pressing the PrintScreen key and pasting the results in MS Paint. I spent ... I mean wasted hours last night putting together a series of ten comic strips with that thing and laughing hysterically at the stupidity of what I was doing. And it's not finished yet. I figure though, that if the fanstuff wiki is flooded with this kind of automatically-generated content that is obviously going to be ARTISTICALLY inferior to what the established stinkoman sprite comic makers are already doing, (Though it could be just as funny) some people might get kinda annoyed at the noobs making this crap. what do you all think about it? (Coming soon: my own very stupid comic that nobody's going to read LOL!!)[/url] |

The sprite comic generator is a lot of fun. I already made a few of comics with it, including a brief history of the fanstuff wiki. The problem is, the fanstuff wiki is already flooded with crap made by n00bs. It's got to the point when some people complain when told that their fanstuff has to relate to Homestar Runner in some way. I really wish more people who make Homestar Runner fanstuff would join. At this point I don't care how good it is, I just want more Homestar Runner fanstuff. So I think it would a bad idea to ban sprite comics made with the comic editor. At least it's encouraging people to make Homestar Runner fanstuff. |

Is there anywhere we can post our creations? |

Arts and Crafts, methinks. Oh, and when I saw the Pixel comics mentioned and the editor, I immediately thought of the Fanstuf wiki. And also Stinkoman G, or X, or whatever that one was. |

I voted against this. It's not crap, some of the comics are actually pretty good, but you know some people, they'll flood it with just un-funny, non-entertaining crap. I don't know a way to fix this, so I'm voting against this. |

Just make a thread in R&P. Problem solved, people can post what they did, and if people don't want to see them, they don't have to. EDIT: Here |

What I meant by not being allowed to post it to the wiki was that if we went that route, people would be allowed to talk about their serieses but would have to host them elsewhere. (Tripod or Geocities perhaps?) i'm not saying i'm for that idea but i'm sure there will be some people who don't want the sprite comic editor to take over teh fanstuff wiki |

yeah, um, duh I know that. its admittedly not very funny ... more sort of "silly". also there are at least 11 more in which Stinkoman tries to deal with the problem of the giant bird being in the way. he has some very original strategies for dealing with problems. its going to be a good series ... whether or not you think the first strip is very good |

Bring it on! The whole purpose of the webcomic generator is prehaps to make a point, the reason sprite comics suffer is because anyone can make them. And if anyone makes them, then chances are they will all be, ahem, not that good. I'm putting this webcomic generator as a part of the whole "webcomics are dumb" argument that Strong Bad was making. And now that it is easier to make webcomics, it will make other sprite comics look bad You have the tools right in front of you, you can now make your very own sprite comic. But, do you have the ideas? |

Also sprite comics are mainly reused images so I don't know whether it's classified as art. Unless we're talking Joshua's or something. He makes a lotta sprites. |

well sprite comics are not art as in painting but it's art as in creativity. meaning, it's art if you also view films, video games and computer programs as art as I do 8-bit theater is art if theater is one of the arts ... I don't think TBC are saying that sprite comics are dumb or anything of the kind. Just because their puppet (strong bad) says something doesn't mean they think it. they would definately not have gone to the bother of making the sprite comic editor if they didn't want people using it If they wanted to make the point that sprite cartoons were bad, they could just have done something like this and it would have been much easier by the way i uploaded the second strip today lol |

I'm hoping so. I created a forum account on this site specifically so that I'd be able to post somewhere comics I might make. Maybe I can stand ever so slightly apart from the rest of the dreck that is the Internet. ... Of course, I'm stretching the definitions of "comic" and "make" quite a bit. |

But if the first strip doesn't impress them, they won't read on. The first strip has to be very good because there are so many comics out there, and I don't just mean the Stinkoman ones that are going to be everywhere now. You need to stand out to survive. |
