You know we have an edit button, right? Please don't post a new post just to fix something like that, alberto. You should know better.

I knew about the wiki for a few months before I ever visited the forum. I've looked around for things that may need editing, but I'm not sure in what way I can contribute. But I will keep looking!

Yeah, that's the tough part for those of us who aren't rabid wiki-ers - those who are really dedicated get to things so freakin' fast that by the time we schmucks show up, there's not much to do. Props to y'all for all the hard work you do.

Usually when a Strong Bad Email or a new toon (etc.) is created, I'm at work, so by the time I get back the wiki page is mostly updated.
But I can definitely run through some articles and clean up spelling. I'm almost neurotic about spelling. I'm not sure why.

Yeah, that's been one of the major reasons as to why I haven't contributed that much. It's not that I don't know anything about the H* world, it's just all been done already. I think in all my times of knowing about the wiki I've only been here fast enough to catch two toons before they were transcribed, and one was already half-done. I don't know how you guys do it.

It was quoted, it wouldn't do much. Anyways, I won't do it again.

Is anyone here a bit surprised that some people didn't know about the wiki? I mean, the site is called forum.hrwiki.org

I'm not too surprised, considering how many threads I've seen made which ask basic questions that could have been found on the Wiki, such as "Which sbemail had Baby Strong Bad?"

i use the wiki more now! you guys should leave me some talkin` on my talk page!

anyways, probably the biggest thing i've done was add TGS11's Chuck Taylor All-Star to the list of places that Chuck Taylor's appear on the site. i guess that's not all that major, but it's probably the biggest i've done.

Exactly. That's my problem.
I like this forum though. And I've been a lurker here practically since its inception (and a lurker at the wiki itself since before they switched software).

I hate to say it, but my experience at the Wiki is not all that different from MC Otaku's. Maybe my experience was not as bad, but it felt similar.

It seems as though some points have very strong arguments but are ignored because their author hasn't been there for umpteen million years, or else they are quashed because of very minor detail, even though the original premise is clearly worth a notation.

The inconsistency is frustrating too! Some references with very strong arguments in their favor are deleted because one person doesn't have the imagination to see them, yet some very vague, inane, or weak ones are allowed to stay, and are replaced if deleted.

It’s a nice reference tool; I thank those with the patience to keep it up. Personally, I have a lot more fun here!

I'm over my disliking of HRWiki. I actually love it now. It is a great community, I just don't appreciate it when some users act like know-it-alls when I have more Homestar Runner knowledge in my little finger than they have in their whole bodies (just teasin'). ;)

Being serious now, I do think many so-called "running gag" and "inside joke" "articles" overstay their welcome, but there is a wealth of knowledge beyond that. I especially like The Cheat's bio. Check it. :-D

When I voted on the poll, I contributed occasionally, but now I contribute a lot. Over half my contributions are for the subtitles though. I'm curious. Does anyone actually use the subtitles? I generally only use them when i have to have the sound down for some reason.

The most annoying part of the wiki for me is the deletionism. I don't see why every tiny little thing shouldn't be catalouged. But I see a lot of people disagree. I can live with that.

I used to contribute, but some ignoramus wrote a half-@!# article and when I suggested that it be deleted, he and his disciples acted like I was an idiot, and didn't even take my point into consideration! And to me, that speaks for the whole wiki. Thanks, Loafing, you blew it. I'm never going there again. X-(

Which article was this? I don't see it.

I always read the wiki whenever anything new comes out, for easter eggs and stuff. And I'll occasionally add some fun facts. I really would like to do some transcripts, but everybody always gets there first.

[s]How many wiki users are there on the forum? I did a search for this. There were no polls like this in "Fun" Polls.[/s]

How do you define a "wiki user"? Is this someone who simply browses the Wiki as the reference guide it is, or someone who has a registered account and contributes there? I'm just the former.

I'm not, I used to browse before I came here, but that stopped after I couldn't handle the "sillyness" (that's a nice word) of some of the supposed refrences; things like, "Homestar's hat is a refrence to Invader Zim, I like that show lol.".

I was a member of the Wiki before joining the Forum. I don't contribute anymore, because usually by the time I get around to seeing anything on H*R, people have already posted pretty much everything that needs to be said. So these days, I only go there for the lowdown on the latest tunes, or to get direct links to toons I want to see.
