Apparantly, some people believe there is an intentional 67 year gap between an Old-Timey toon's release date and its time period. I believed this until I compared the release dates and time periods of Parsnips and That a Ghost.

A while ago, someone posted on a Wiki Talk Page that TBC might not make any more Old-Timey toons because 67 years ago, it would have been the 1940s. I had to note that no Old-Timey characters made any appearances at all in 2007, and the Old-Timey Decemberween Short Short ended with a character's death and a "The End" card. Do you think it's over? And if so, will you miss the Old-Time?

I'm pretty sure that there will be another Old-Timey toon eventually. Of course, since there are other, more popular portions of the website, their appearance will be very rare.

Well, there were "deaths" in Parsnips and Ghost and those characters kept coming back from the dead (think Teen Girl Squad). And no Old-Timey characters made any appearances whatsoever in 2005, either. So it's not like it's the first time that this has happened before.

Well, I wouldn't mind if they made appearances in the emails like they do sometimes. I certainly hope that Old-Timey Strong Bad appears in the 200th email because he has always appeared in every 50th email (50 EMAILS, FLASHBACK and ALTERNATE UNIVERSE).

Nah, they're not done with old timey. There's no good reason for them to be (there's minor evidence that supports the claim, but no reason TBC would have to end it in the first place)

I think there might, but I didn't really like them anyways.

You guys dont remember the easter eggs of rumble red? Yes, it has been awhile since there was an old tyme toon. But hey, its thier creativity- they can make whatever the heck they want, and maybe they just dont have any good ideas for 1936 era cartoons.

Do i think we have seen the last of the Homestar Runner, and the Sneak? Heck no at all! They will return eventually...

It would help if they did explore the old-time world more. If nothing else, they should feature Old-Timey Strong Bad in the upcoming 200th email, because he has appeared in all of other "every 50th email" (50 EMAILS, FLASHBACK, ALTERNATE UNIVERSE).

I know what they could do: they could create an Old-Timey version of Homsar and call him The Homsar. One of his lines (in keeping with his modern counterpart's strange way of talking) could be, "I'm a song from the turn of the century!"

Nope, they aren't done. I don't think they can keep it 68 years or however many years it's behind the present time, though.

Well, they can start to make the cartoons colored, if all else fails. A fan once created pictures of colorized versions of The Homestar Runner, Old-Timey Strong Bad, The Sneak and Sickly Sam. Check it out:

Granted, however, it will probably never happen, but this can be done just in case. And to enhance the Old-Timey feel, very limited color can be used. So if you take these pictures and imagine them in very faded colors, similar to public domain cartoons in the 1930s and '40s, you should be able to imagine what the Old-Timey characters would look like in color.

I'd like to see one that has been "COLORIZED" ... like the old cartoons from the 30s that they added color to later... even they they were in b/w originally. That'd be kind of cool. You know, kind of washed out colors...

Yeah, that's what I pretty much described in my last post. Washed out colors. If you could imagine the colors in the above shot of the Old-Timey characters being washed out, you should have an idea of what to expect for the colorized Old-Timey toons.

I haven't seen it yet, but I do know that Old-Timey Strong Bad and The Sneak make an appearance in an Easter egg in the newest email: PET SHOW. Go check it out; you'll just have to wait until it's over, though.

I deleted the poll to accomidate the reappearance in pet show. Here were the final results:
Will there ever be another Old-Timey toon?

Yes, I hope so 37% [ 6 ]
No, and I don't care for these toons 12% [ 2 ]
I would miss it if it ended 50% [ 8 ]

As for the thought of colorized Old-Timey toons, I think it would make a good Everything Else bonus feature if they colorized "That a Ghost" with the TGS 10 markers in a not-scary color scheme (like King Kong).

Bottom line: The Old Times are not over, not by a long shot!
