I searched for this in the forum, and didn't find it, so I figured I'd start a thread on it.

Has anyone else noticed that when the frame for the "Quote of the Week" comes out, you see Homestar in it. At first, I thought I was seeing things, so I tried capturing the image using "print screen". It took a couple of tries, but sure enough, if you do it, you do see Homestar saying "Hello, this is the funniest word style ever that I said! Hope you're into it." Strange, huh?

<EDIT'D!> I decided I would check the wiki to see if this had been added.. sure enough it had. I kinda wish I had done this first, but I didn't. I half thought about deleting this thread. I've decided to leave it up, just to spark discussion, and to see how many other people thought they were seeing things. Mods, feel free to PM me if you want me to delete this.
I leave this with me giving myself a dose of "You know we have a wiki, right?"

Well, I think that since it's just what people think about it, this is fine.

I don't really like it as much, since they have to either:

-1. Make an annoying transliteration of the nonsense quote they have (like the one they made for this week's)
-2. Stop doing the nonsense quotes altogether.

Overall, I definitely think that the old template was better.

I like the old way, because that way I wouldn't know what it was until I heard it.

Foogoomagoo, you just named all the things BAD about this system. It'll probably be INCREDIBLY difficult to show Larry and the Little Girl, not to mention two-person quotes and people like the CC announcer... he's just not meant to be shown! I like the old way better.

As for the H*R thing, my compy is rather slow, so I saw it, and probably longer than anyone else. I think its kinda strange, and sorta adds to my dislike of this new style.

The Homestar Quote is there if you have dialup internet. While the quote loads, you get to read that.

And I really don't see what the big deal is with changing around the format, but then again, I've noticed that every time anything is changed there are complaints.

I like the new change! It's fun to find out exactly what they're saying.. especially when they're saying nonesense, like sb's quote i-duo-do-do, or whatever it exactly was.

change is ALWAYS good. :)

TBC would probably have a creative solution if they felt like doing a quote like that, like a question mark for a face or something

Swoosh actually said what I was thinking about Fahorglingrads' comment, but like you say, tBC will find a way. Remember, they DID make the site.

Besides the new look, It seems that they have also changed the quality of the mic. I just dowloaded the Homsar quotes and they are all fuzzy, the quote of the week is real nice. Mabey they just rented a radio station

I'm thinking that would be 20x6 Homestar, since I remember a thread from quite a while back from someone saying that TBC mentioned at one of their college stops that they were thinking of naming him something similar to that.

I remember hearing that thay used to use a much worse mic than they use now. They would usually have to record under a blanket to omit any outside noise.

I don't know aobut the blanket thing, but if you have the DVD you can definitely tell that they used to use a much crappier mic. The audio in "some kinda robot" sounds so crappy compared to the newer stuff.

In the wiki, there's a video of a G4 interview. G4 has actually interviewed the Brothers Chaps twice. I remember them talking about how Missy hated the dreaded blanket. I'm sure that not too many here have seen it.
