Does anybody know what this is about?

http://www.homestarrunner.com/mywedpage.html

It seems very strange, and it's sorta freaking me out. Was it ever linked to from a toon or anything?

I know it was linked from something. Let me think...

It's from the Strong Bad email 2 years. Someone said they wouldn't be able to visit "Homestarrunner's Website" for 2 years, to which Strong Bad replied "Homestar has a website?" If you click on "H*R's Website," that page will pop up.

Thanks. Dang, I guess I didn't find a new secret page, then.

Ah, yes. Now that that's been answered, it's like this topic has been rendered useless...

I still don't see how you people don't know about our wiki, and if you do, PLEASE use it.

This is one of the best Easter Eggs ever, mind.

Post subject:  Oops

Yeah, I thought about using the wiki, but I was hoping I'd found a new secret page, and out of stupid hope decided not to spoil my illusion.

Ah, the follies of youth.

Freakyblueman, as tempting as it is to yell and scream at forum members who seemingly don't know about the wiki, PLEASE leave it to the mods. Lately, you've been just a lighted fuse waiting to explode on such members.

Oh, and it turned out this person did know, but didn't want to squander her dreams. Go figger.

Or him.

Back on-topic, that background is freaky.

Well, you have to remember, this forum is ONLY FOR WIKI USERS (or that was its original intention). If someone doesn't know about the wiki, they need not be here (as it says in the rules under rule 7). Sorry if I'm being a bit harsh to some people, but at least this time, I just mentioned that they needed to use the wiki.

I definitely agree with Upsilion that this is the best easter egg. Ever.

Hi, Freakyblueman.

Okay, yeah, I should have used the wiki. Sorry about that. Let's just forget this whole thing and be brothers. :-D

Best easter egg.

Note that Rule 7. says needn't. That doesn't mean cannot. Personally, I belive that we need to reach out to those whose don't know and explain things to them instead of acting like we are an exclusive club. I know most all of the members aren't unkind, but it just needs to be said.

Sorry to be blunt and off-subject, but try reading the sentence I wrote there:

.
Since "needn't" is the contraction of the words "need" and "not", I think I was right on target there. As for reaching out to people, yeah, that's all that we do here. I just am annoyed when people don't use the resource that this forum provides (the wiki), and claim they don't know anything about it (since of course, this is a forum meant for the wiki, just look at the subtitle up top).

1.Uhh...was that directed to me or thefreakyblueman?

2.thefreakyblueman, I see your point and apologize for misunderstanding, but I have noticed some mocking of newbies in the short time that I have been a member of the forum of the HR Wiki (which I am a member of too. Same username.)

You haven't displayed the slightest bit of bitterness, so it would be that other guy.

Mocking of newbies is almost inevitable since... well, they're newbies. It's like being a freshman at a high-school who keeps asking where the bathroom is, where the lunch room is, or where a classroom is, all while there's a map right before him.

(I'm not responding to NintenGenius, just members in general.)

I am an admin on a forum of my own -- the exact same "engine" as this one, in fact -- so I'm not totally new to Forums as a concept. I am, however, new to Wikis. And although I am a very frequent reader of the HRWiki and use it to answer all my own questions, I have felt more apprehensive about using it since joining the Forum. When I only knew the Wiki, it felt like a friendly place where I was welcome to contribute. This forum, however, can be rather intimidating to new members, since probably 50% of the topics I've read on here are filled with posts like, "You know we have a Wiki, right?" and "This topic is useless." As a result of this, it's gonna be a long time before I start my own topic.
I'm not trying to fuss at anyone. I like you all! I'm just explaining that these things are not making my experience on the Wiki any more enjoyable.

The main problem is we have a ton of backchair mods at this board, pure and simple. "THIS IS GOING TO BE LOCKED," "THAT'S SPAM." I've done it a bit myself, but now I'm starting to get rather tired of it.
