Is there anything about HR that has spoiled your enjoyment of it a little? I have to say, Crack Stuntman, and the appearance of "humans" in the HR world was a little upsetting for me. I'd always considered that the Cheat Commandos were supposed to be real The Cheats, rather than a cartoon, within a cartoon, voiced by cartoon men. All a bit pointless for me, and I think the HR world was a better place without Crack.

Everything's better without Crack; remember, kids, just say no.

Crack Stuntmen has made the homestar universe better, and the cheat commandoes was meant to be a cartoon show from the beggining.
To me, the worst sections of homestar runner are teen girl squad, and sad to say, some parts of SBCG4AP (I have the season pass and have beaten the first two games. Despite them having some hilarious aspects, some parts are very childish/cheesy, and are not even close to the quality of the homestarrunner cartoons. Mostly because of Strong Bad's behavior actually.)

Gulp... Strong Bad being somewhat overused, a few to many inside jokes, specifically overused ones (Thinkkaman), and not enough face time for non-Strong Bad character...

This is the 3rd year in a row where updates have been slow. DVD commentaries that neglect to answer such burning questions as "How does decaf coffee make Strong Sad turn hyper" and "What the crap is pressed bunson?" Sbemail Podcasts that noticably differ from the original Sbemails. The fact it's been years since The Cheat last made a cartoon that wasn't a music video. The " back" button on Who Said What Now taking me to the Old Games menu instead of the Shooter Games Menu like the other games' "back" buttons. We still haven't seen Sloshy in its true, live-action form. The uncreative (except Accent) bonus features of strongbad_email.exe Disc Five. I'm annoyed with the length of this post as well.

I agree about Crack Stuntman. He's only made me laugh maybe once. "Next Epi-Snowed" is in my bottom 10 because of him.

I don't like Old Timey Strong Bad. I like all the other Old Timey characters, but not Strong Bad. His lines are so forced. The only time I liked him was in the 50th email easter egg (I think that was the one).

There are various cringe-inducing lines here and there throughout the toons which are extremely forced and extremely unfunny.

The next epi-snowed IMO is one of the best cartoons they've pulled out in a long time. I seriously disagree with you there.
I do very much agree with you though on the cringe-inducing lines throughout the toons though. SBCG4AP was ruined because of them. 95% of them were said by Strong Bad, actually, hence why I don't like him nearly as much anymore.
I think the biggest cringe-inducing line was the response that Strong Bad had to the french guy calling him "chicken" in Homestar Ruiner. Extremely childish, extremely dumb, and extremely unfunny.
Really tornmenting to a die-hard homestar runner fan, like me.

I don't know if I would consider SBCG4AP part of the "canon." It's its own seperate entity.

The cringe-inducing lines I was talking about are in the actual cartoons. Other people might find them funny, I don't know. But now that you mention it, Strong Bad is the character who says the most unfunny stuff. Then again, that's probably just because he's the character who speaks the most, period. I mean, he's really funny 85% of the time, but the other 15% is awful.

Eh, I still consider it part of the cartoon. You just have to pay for it.
And now, I'm starting to think that only 65-70 of what says is funny after playing both games. I mean. they're good; I don't regret buying them, but they would have been AWSOME had had not had so many cringingly unfunny lines. I view him as a total poser now, sadly. Since the game releases, has become an immature tired joke.

No, since the game announcements, SB's voice actor has been endlessly recording every day for 6 months. A lot of work goes into writing scripts for every possibility, and though I don't know how much experience you have with humour, I'd be pretty exhausted after trying to come up with so many jokes.

You know, I thought I was a die-hard fan too, but apparently I have to have expectations first. Don't.

There are many cringingly bad lines that could have EASILY been avoided. A lot of ten year old humor I find.

Yeah, but should this excuse them from turning out sub-par work? What's the point in watching if you're just going to accept everything, even if it's awful, and say, "Well, this toon sucked, but since they must be tired from writing so many jokes, I'll give it a 5/5."

Of course, I'm exaggerating and generalizing. It just annoys me when people try to make excuses like, (in Homestar's Strong Sad voice:) "Oh...it's hard writing good material." Like I don't understand that? Just because TBC have apparently over-extended themselves doesn't mean I shouldn't express my opinions about their work.

I don't know, this is silly. It's an internet cartoon. I suppose I take it so seriously because it's the only decent cartoon I've seen in awhile. When the quality slips, I get concerned.

As many of you know, the loss of The Paper killed a lot of my enthusiasm for Strong Bad Email for a while. I've been doing better with it lately, though (especially since Papes's de facto comeback in SBCG4AP!)

Once more, I agree with woo, Jimstark. It seriously wouldn't have been THAT HARD for them to have made it funnier. If it's dumb and unfunny, simply don't make it part of the cartoon. Simple as that.
Why has the loss of the paper made you upset? I think it rules that there's a new paper now. I like it as much, and I didn't find anything OH SO LOVEABLE about the last paper.

I think part of the problem is H*R toons are formulaic for the most part and after so many years of watching them, that's how it is. Sbemail is not even half as funny to me now as when I started way back in 2002 or 03. There was a time when we were getting new additions to the site like new games, new other toons (like cheat commandos, 20x6, tgs, etc.), new characters like Trogdor, the world of Peasant's Quest with Rather Dashing... but now they're all kind of set in the same thing and it's just more of the same. The freshness has worn off.

The new game, I think, is pretty good. I wonder if some of what Strong Bad is saying would be more interesting had the game come out in 2004 or something. Strong Bad is just overused. He is always in everything.

Eh, anyway... that's probably waht annoys me about H*R. Not much new stuff introduced in a long while. Well not on the level of some of that classic stuff. Out of the past many sbemails I can't think of many things that influenced the site as the first 100 and something or so have.

And that's why I don't vote in toon polls. (:
I should've really made myself clear on this point before, but there's a difference in the way you and Xterm express your opinions. Basically, you're acknowledging your opinion is seperate from fact.

And for the sake of latching onto current conversation, all sorts of things follow a set routine. What makes them interesting is the things that happen inside that routine.

Peacy P made me accept humans in the homestar universe. Come to think of it. Strong Bad has already acknowledge the existence of humans in his TGS toons. The Squad consists of stick figures, but Arrow'd Guy is unmistakably human.
Also, I've always considered the Cheat Commandos a cartoon, as opposed to a live action series like, say, the Power Rangers. It's because the art style is different from the normal cartoons. (Especially the eyes, man. The eyes!)

I have to agree with the guys complaining about Crack Stuntman. He's had a few funny lines and as a character he's okay I guess, but he just doesn't seem to fit in. In original as Crack Stuntbubs he was okay, but still, he just kinda catches the eye (no clue whatsoever if that's a real figure of speech or not) for being so out-of-place.

And Peacey P. He was okay when he was in TGS, but everywhere else there's the same problem. In Rap Song and Trudgemank the problem's not so bad, but in Blubb-O's Commercial (which is one of the worst toons) it's horrible. Especially when he says that "thick n' nasty" -line, in that I'm-so-funny-hahaha -voice, it's just... really annoying.

I dislike Crack Stuntman (why can't the Cheat Commandos just be the Cheat Commandos?!), but there are more annoying things. Particularly everything becoming a spinoff or an addition to a series. The only series the site needed were Sbemail, Marzipan's Answering Machine, and any time they decide to throw a curveball (like the early TGS sequels.)

I don't think I ever saw H*R before TGS was a thing (which was some 4-5 years ago, mind) and I never saw them as a problem (except the no. 14. Didn't laugh more that once, and then only slightly) I really just hate the abuse and overuse of characters. On a few threads I have expressed my feelings on Peacy P, so I won't repeat myself, but Crack has been used quite a bit, I agree. I liked the concept of 'Pistols for Pandas' but I never really found him that funny, otherwise. "The next epi-snowed" does give the impression we won't be seeing much, if any, more of him, so that's ok. Also, there;s not really enough Homestar, a little more SB than necessary, but otherwise, it's all ok.

What annoys me about H*R:

- The voice actors and such of Cheat Commandos appearing (I know it was supposed to be a cartoon within a cartoon from the beginning, but Crack Stuntman and such aren't that funny)
- All the bands in the H*R universe except sometimes Limozeen and sloshy
- The fact that the Brothers Chaps work in their hatred of MS Paint occasionally (IT DOES NOT SUCK, PEOPLE!!!!)
- Insults to H*R fanfiction (yes, I've seen H*R fanfiction that sucked, but that doesn't mean all H*R fanfiction sucks)

What annoys me most is probably that there have been several weeks this year with no new update because TBC were working on SBCG4AP.

I guess I wan't happy about them being located in America, let alone Earth. Why not some small unknown island or a tiny province in Europe?

Marzipan is the only girl, but she's quite annoying. Then again, I loved the Marzipan Answering Machine, & there haven't been any new ones in some time.

When the Chaps decided to abandon the idea of making the KOT Marzipan's dad. It had a lot of potential.

Homsar's voice & lines in SBCG4AP episode 2 is the worst thing ever.

Not enough Senior Cartgage, Homsar, or Sweet Cuppin Cakes.

Lack of even insignificant content updates on Mondays, or posting a note when they're planning to be gone for awhile. Though it's excusable durring SBCG4AP production because the length of the games equal several full cartoons.

Not redoing the voice acting in the older cartoons. It could have been a DVD exclusive release.

Not making the Halloween Specials on the DVD multichoice, like they did with the Cheat Commandos DVD game.

Dropping the toon where Homestar was tortured by his oversized niece & nephew.
Preshy: "We wove you, Uncle Homestaw."
Homestar: "Somehow, I have a hard time believing that...."

Nothing really. I suppose the only thing that has truly driven me nuts is Main Page #9. The dripping shower gives me a headache.

Yeah, that's one of the only Main Pages I'd never leave running in the background, what with that sound. (Also the Old-Timey one, what with the scratchy sounds.)

Oh STEVEN! I think this may finally be it you guys! After 200 hundred emails I'm finally gonna get to make out with da-da-da DEAR HOMESTAR?!

What really annoys me is that Stinkoman level 10 isn't out after 3 years and that TBC basically puts it off and Videoletrix and TBC just goes right ahead and makes a game for the Wii and computer. 9 put of 10 chances it looks like they're just not going to make it.
