I think FTH,(first time here) it would go somthin' like this: :hr:: Wello! :sb:: and welcome toooo :sm::A WEBSITE! :cheat: :mehmehnehmehnreh! :cheatgrin: :*shiny noise* :bubs: :Buy all you want! :coachz: :and by law you are required to give me 10$! :marzi: :keep it clean! :pom: :*bubbles* :kot: :doohoohoo give me butter sticks doo hoo! :poop: :*looks at* *looks back at whatsit* :homsar: :You give that bee a candy number! It sounds exciting, but unless I see it animated and voiced, I won't be able to say if it makes a good introduction to the website. I said in another thread that I would like to change the links:
  • "Strong Bad Email" should be changed to the Lappy font and with a "last updated" date underneath it.
  • "A Jorb Well Done" should be replaced with either "Bug in Mouth Disease" or "Kick-a-Ball" (If a newbie saw "Bug in Mouth Disease", would he think Strong Sad and the KOT were really named Dairy Queen and Santa respectively?)
  • "Homestar Talker" should be replaced with "Rhino Feeder" (Of all the games I like, this would probably make the most sense to one who hasn't met all the characters yet)

I loved The FTH. It's funny.

Only complaint is I wondered what the actual FTH speech would been if he got the lines right.

I don't see any point in changing the intro. Who watches it besides the newbies anyway?

FTH is fine, too. It's a good example of the general style of humor the Chap Bros are good with. If someone doesn't like FTH, they probably won't like the rest of the site.

I would definitely change the game, though. I mean, sewiously, Homestar Talker? Why not just send them to a page called Snooze Fest where there's just a short flash loop of Homestar sleeping? As for what game to replace it with... Eh... I dunno. Strong Bad Zone maybe?

The new toon should absolutely be the updated grape holding contest toon. I hope I don't have to explain why.

Actually, the intro is too classic to. It's the first thing most people see when they go to the site. They can't replace that!

Something tells me newbies would spend too much time going, "OMG! Who the crap is Stinkoman? Why can't I reach level 10?" to have fun with that game.

For replacing the intro, does April Fools 09 count as a temporary New Intro?

Anyway, I don't think they should permanently replace the Intro and FTH. I think that they should make new ones and (if it's possible in Flash, but I dunno) make it so when the relevant link is clicked, a random Intro or FTH is played.

And new FTH or not, they should change the links at the end of it. I mean, A Jorb Well Done is like older than Old-Timey Strong Bad or something. (I know it's not, but it FEELS like it.) They should replace the links with newer toons and a not ancient game.

I think they should change the FTH links (maybe even make them randomly point to ANY, with some exceptions perhaps) but keep the toon itself the same because it's hilarious and a great way to introduce people. As for the intro, if TBC comes up with a good replacement idea then I trust it to be good but right now there's nothing wrong with the intro.
