Have you ever had something you where into that no one really knows about and if you mentioned it to anyone you know they would give you the look of "What on earth are you going on about?" Image But then they make reference to it on homestarrunner an you freak because TBS know about it?

It first happened to me when I say Strong Sad dressed up as Vyvyan from The Young Ones.

"Blowing through naptime" from Strong Sad's Lament took me a little off guard. "I wish the chicken and MSG place was open on Sundays" seems to be a universal thought, but I still was surprised. I still find myself saying that sentence in front of people who wouldn't recognize it, while driving past Chick-fil-As on Sundays.

Oh yeah! I love listening to this guy Jonathan Coulton's music and everyone I talk to doesn't know who he is but then I watched the Make a scene with Tell Tale Games and saw :sb: say "And tell Jonathan Coulton or whoever I said what's up." My mind pretty much imploded.

I'm probably the only person I know who would get the "ding dong" Weird Al reference from that one TGS.

"shots do not hurt other players... yet." kinda surprised me. not that I'm surprised TBC knew it, but that I do. I may be the world's weirdest 13 year old girl. :)

It happened to me a few times.

There was "A Jorb Well Done", where Tom Servo from MST3K
showed up with Pom Pom and Coach Z. It was sort of a
"WHAT THE-!?" moment.

Another one was the Cheatar toon. Strong Bad doing the
classic transformation sound from Transformers and referencing
Optimus Prime and Soundwave was awesome.

Now that I think about it, the idea of the Cheatball turning
into a spaceship in 20x6 referencing Ryo-Ohki makes me
wonder if they know about the Tenchi Muyo! series.

I was amazed that they were aware of Tony MacAlpine in "Career Day" (the MacAlpine Nebula), since he is a bit of an obscure yet awesome guitarist.

In Episode I of SBCG4AP, Strong Bad made a reference to Stryper, and despite the fact that it was kinda a shot at them, I was still like, "Sweeeet! :D"
