This is depressing. If I don't get an update before 2011, I officially give up. Never thought I'd say those words. When the Bro. Chaps come back, (if they ever DO) they would've lost so many fans, it would be ridiculous. They just can't do this. :-(

Of course they will update sometime this year
Poker Night comes out this year!

It's not looking too good. They might make a final, "Farewell" cartoon, but I don't see much more than that happening.

Considering their statements in previous interviews, I doubt the fanbase would receive even that much, unfortunately. The Chapmans have admitted that they are poor businessmen, but it seems to me they're also exceedingly hopeless at public relations. Of course, the most likely reason for the silence is that the Homestar Runner fanbase is simply no longer important enough to warrant an expenditure of time and effort, hence our state of limbo.

Oh man, do people really HAVE to say stuff like this? Anyone who left them as a fan because they didn't get their prescious updates, wasn't much of a real fan to begin with - and really, where does it say they "can't do this". Ugh, just crazy.

You can be a Bad word if you want. I just want a proper farewell. And I can understand being a fan if the series has already ended, but for a show/Flash cartoon that is still going on, it's necessary to have freakin' updates! X-(

I believe the word is "chillax." The Brothers Chaps are working on a feature-length film called Monster Safari. Features take a long time to complete, and they require quite a bit of people working on them, especially writers, which is what TBC are for the film. I thought maybe they would've been working on a Halloween toon in their free time after they made Xeriouxly Forxe, but obviously that's not the case. Things might not look so good for Homestar Runner right now, but give it time. Site's not dead yet.

Yeah, not dead in the sense of it gone, but in the sense of actual freakin' progress, the site is dead.

Also, people complaining about topics like this, there isn't much left to talk about. This is the now. And the now is dead.

HAHAHA you're funny... It's kind of hard to keep a fansite going for a dead/dying website. It's bad for someone to be upset that something that they've enjoyed suddenly disappears? It's normal human reaction to be upset. If TBC are so short-sided that they think they can quit a fan favorite like HSR without any negative reaction at all from fans, they have to be kidding themselves. All over a SUPERSECRET PROJECT!!!! that they tell only an elite few about? Their fanbase is not only the admins here. Maybe they don't have time to tell everyone...

I used to check HSR daily, then weekly. Now I've almost forgotten about it. I barely check these forums at all, except once a month for updates to see who's saying what. But it's always the same... "An admin said this and this...." Great and good. I mean grood. Grood for them. I just hope TBC can bask in the glory of the few fans they'll have left after alienating a fanbase that has been their primary income for the last decade, the same fanbase that gave them the notoriety to make the super secret project possible in the first place. It's like watching a friend you trained get promoted, and then ignore you; part of you is happy for the success, part of you misses them, and part of you feels betrayed and forgotten. I think that sums up HSR's fanbase right now.

Wow, that really DOES sum up how I feel now. I just bought the Strong Bad Sings CD and it entertained me for a week. Mainly because of Secret Song and Sensitive to Bees, but either way, I feel as if they have betrayed us. I'm leaving after January 31, 2011. And I advise you do too. We can't just keep on waiting for nothing. :-(

I really do have to agree with the two guys above me, but I also have to disagree with you. In a way, I do feel shunned and forgotten, and yes, it's like having a friend who you support and gets promoted, and then ignores you, and that you feel happy for them, you miss them, and you feel shunned. While they have done that, I'm still going to wait for updates. And here's really why.

They haven't said, "That's it." They haven't said anything along those lines. What they have said is, "We're not stopping until Stinkoman Level 10." So, they're not stopping until Stinkoman Level 10. Why I do feel there is some cause for concern that they haven't even updated the Store in two months, let along their Feedburner page or even an interview, I'm still waiting. I've been a fan for six years and a loyal fan for four years. I hope that lasts for ten.

Yes, I know maybe of you are impatient, and are quitting after the year's over. But I'm not. And I really hope that I'm not going to be the only one running the Wiki.

Poker Night comes out in two days, so the break in new material is only 7 months. That's not too bad.

I don't really consider Poker Night as part of the H*R Universe. For one, I won't be playing it because I have no interest in Poker... so it won't do me any good. Also, it is kind of it's own thing... Strong Bad is in it, but it's just his personality without any relevance back to Homestar Runner or the universe they live in.

So while it's technically new stuff, it doesn't really count to me, personally.

There's bound to be tons of references to Free Country USA, since Strong Bad's lines are being co-written by the Brothers Chaps just like Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. The Inventory is also said to be a club where game characters come to relax when they aren't working, so I'm sure we'll see and maybe hear from other H*R characters besides Strong Bad. :)

H*R has always been about characters breaking the fourth wall, so a game where the characters know that they are in a game seems like it fits perfectly into the Homestar Runner universe. The Brothers Chaps wouldn't have allowed Strong Bad to be in the game, and they definitely wouldn't have co-written his lines and Matt wouldn't have agreed to voice him if they didn't feel that the game fit in the Homestar Runner universe.
