So they're in the biz now, why not make a H*R tv series now?

sbemail 206 appears to be written as a script at least... now if only they could animate it. You know, with all the contacts they have now at the production company they work for and Matt also said he's working on a new Disney animated series... they should really see if they could get H*R set up as a TV series.

They could probably stick two 10-15 minute shorts up per episode and pull it off. Having a team animate it for them would welllll... that would leave them time to write the script and voice it still. They could direct the episodes. It could even be interactive with the website somehow. Easter eggs in the show in the form of links or some such on homestarrunner.com. It would breathe a lot of life into the series that has been absent. And imagine Homestar Runner in brilliant HD 2D animation, animation with a budget not just Flash.

Now THAT is an idea worthy of TVness. Usually, they have those short toons of dancing cups or like, cows with human heads runnin' around to some old song from the 60s. Yes, TV can reach that seemingly non reachable level of insanity. It would be a sewious bweak to see the mawshmawwow man and the gang for a change. Of course, nothing beats sitting in a dark, dark room watching cool, cool web cartoons. I give this idea a Mr. Green. :mrgreen:

I'm a bit... Indifferent... About this. On one hand is the fact that they declined TWO offers to create a H*R TV show in the past. On the other hand, you brought up some very good points making this look like a very good idea

HR's style of humor simply COULD NOT be pulled off well for several 10-15 minute episodes. Perhaps ONE 30-minute short film or a Robot Chicken-esque show full of several shorts per episode, but NOT full episodes.

This has been talked about a few times before. All discussions have come to the conclusion that it just wouldn't work.

Oh, and since most of the toons are in flash, you actually can watch them in full HD.
