I am almost obsessed, my dad follows all the links from FARK, and my mom watched the the DVD and thought it was hilarious, but she's not the type of person who goes to websites.

My mums ex didn't like it at first, it grew on him, and now he's a big fan.

I hav't shown my dad it though for 2 reasons:
1)my dad has a slooooooow internet conection and
2) I wasn't into homestarrunner.com when i visited my dad 2 visits ago, the latest time i came over was when his compy wasnt working :(

My mum gets homestar mixed up with Strong Bad :sigh: when i wear my homestar shirt shes always like to guests:

my mum: well, this guy on rhys's t-shirt is called Strong Bad--

me: HOMESTAR!!!!

my mum: right, homestar runner, whatever...

i will post the emoticons of homestar & strong bad to show to my mum:

HOMESTAR RUNNER:hr:

My parents don't really get it, but my dad does a really good SB impression that he uses when he's trying to persuade me to do something.

"Kate, can you take out the trash?"
"To the dumpster? In the rain?"
(in SB voice) "Like, seriously. Take out the trash!"
"Fine."

My Mom...get this thinks that SB is a source of good grammar. The whole easter egg after "Local news" got her hooked. Could it also be the fact that she's an editor?

I confuse my parents. First off they don't even know about it. so they get confused when they see my posters or my t-shirts. And I kinda do what Kate said, but in reverse. I'l do Strong Bad's voice when I talk about my self, and my parents look at my like I'm some sort of weirdo. (Which I am.)

Another post from the supposed-to-be-dead Shaon:

My dad got me my Homsar shirt for my birthday and now he calls him "Homear the ape man". My mom...erm...just don't ask about her. She liked my CD, tho.

My parents = not as big fans as me but big fans nonetheless.

My dad can do a really good Strong Bad impression. My mom thinks Strong Bad is one of the best characters ever-- she always likes the antagonists, she has a Mojo Jojo keychain.

My dad and I always had plenty in common but since Homestar Runner, we have even more. My dad and I both think Strong Sad is one of the greatest things ever to exist.

Although I kinda had to explain the importance of supporting characters when my mom said, "It would be better if it was just Strong Bad, Strong Sad, and The Cheat"

Come on! I mean I know Strong Sad's supposed to be one of the most unloved characters, but if there are only two others it's not like he has much of a chance. Not to mention how idiotic sb_email 70 'big white face' would become! Strong Bad's not THAT dense! Very few cartoons would survive in all their glory: Strong Bad's character page has Homestar and mentions Strong Mad; Strong Sad's has Marzipan and mentions Strong Mad; The Cheat's mentions Strong Mad and Pom Pom.

That's another thing! Pom Pom! They underestimate him. Like I was telling my dad about sb_email 108, and asked "Do you think it would be funny if Pom Pom beat the ever loving crap out of Strong Bad?" He answers me, in an SB voice, "Well, it might be funny to see Strong Bad get beat up but I don't think Pom Pom could do it." Completely missing the point. I say "He's a blackbelt." He asks me, "A blackbelt in what?" Who cares? If he can beat up Strong Bad and we could see him in a black belt, he's a blackbelt, no matter what my dad believes.

My dad really liked 'caffeine'. My dad is caffeine-intolerant so I suppose he might have been able to relate. I'm different. It's amazing how someone so close to Strong Sad's persona reacts to substance in such a different way. I guess I'm rambling. Sorry.

My Mom and Dad both do the same thing: they say they like it and act all excited for me but when I try to show them a new toon or email they hardly laugh at anything or don't even pay attention. I think it's the generation difference. Old people have got to realize that in this day and age, RANDOM/WEIRD/SENSELESS STUFF IS FUNNY!!!!! :sb: :homsar: :coachz:

My parents call the cartoon "Strong Bad." As in "Doesn't a new episode of Strong Bad come out today?" So I never tried to show them emails.

The other week my brother popped in disk 3 of the DVD, hit "play all", and the whole family gathered round to watch the classics. That was pretty sweet.

Me: Hooked. Once I saw my first toon, I searched the entire site.
Kati: Likes it, but is easily annnoyed of it from time to time, and really only watches it for the laughs
Dad: Almost as hooked as I am. Will hold down "tab" in the event of an easter egg.
Mom: Loves to watch it, but never watches it without me. Loves to have someone to share it with
Joel: The one who introduced it to me. He doesn't watch it, but he's in college at the current time.

Same here, I'm going to tell my parents and my siblings too.

Also, my brother and sister see me on the wiki, but they don't know what it is. Whenever my sister sees the picture of Homestar, she thinks he's cute and he looks funny.

Me and my brothers/sisters are on it quite a lot, so I'm sure my mom and dad know something about it, at least by how it looks. But neither of them has ever really stopped to listen and watch a cartoon. Except for one time when I showed by dad the "first time here" cartoon. He thought it was hilarious, but after he left he seemed to forget all about it.

Once when I visited my grandfather, I showed him a bunch of the classics like a Jorb Well Done, and he loved it.

AHA! My mom calls him Strange Bob too! She can also do an awsome Strong Bad voice.

My mum and dad arn't into it, it's all my aunts and uncles that are addicted to it. We always quote it while having "Settlers of Catan" tournements. "OoOoOooH! Discount Bwicks!"

My mom has the Strong Badia keychain, and is a bit of a fan of Coach Z.
Me: There's a new Strong Bad Email out. It has Coach Z in it.
Mom: Yay!

I showed it to them but they didn't really like it.

I'll guote something and my dad will laugh and say what's that from and I'll say "Homestar Runner" and he'll go back to what he's doing and pretend like he never laughed at it.

My mom and I both love Homestar Runner. ^_^ I don't quite know when she got into it. Every Tuesday morning, before I go to classes at the uni (I live close to my college so I don't have to dorm), we check the site for updates. It's a sweet little bonding thing I guess.

My mother loves Strong Bad and is crazy about The Cheat. She gets so excited whenever The Cheat appears in an email.

She also enjoys the Strong Bad cd and she often sings along to it in the car. She always requests that I play "Everybody to the Limit", "The Cheat is Not Dead", "I Think I Have a Chance With this Guy" and "Sensitive to Bees". Once I caught her rapping along with Coach Z, which was hilarious.

My dad on the other hand gives me funny looks when I'm playing the cd. He doesn't have much of a sense of humor. ^_^;;

I guessnhe doesn't. My parents don't even know about H*R, and I'm fine with that.

My mother's not a huge fan of H*R... her sense of humour is just as twisted as mine, but its twisted in a different direction.
My father doesn't even know about the site... he'd probably like it, but I've never gotten around to showing it to him yet.

I have gotten my sister hooked though...
