Well, there are about a hundred kids at my school (yes, it's a small school), and about four of them like Homestar. Two of them are brother and sister (the sister's one of my classmates), and their mom doesn't really like Homestar, but luckily, they're not forbidden to watch it or anything. (My mom seems to be pretty cool with it. She's used to me having obsessions with semi-cult cartoons (i.e. Invader Zim and Futurama), so she's OK with that, and she told me today that she "liked The Ugly One". Yay!)

I haven't had any teasing, but I'm still not well-known for this obsession. Yet.

People at my school are surprisingly content about it. I mean, everybody isn't obsessed, but people don't all think it's stupid or something.

People target more on my anime obssion, specifically my previous DBZ obsession >_> And sometimes an occasional joke about Mario or the fact I have a DS, but not too much for nintendo, seeing as this popular kid in my grade has the "Don't make me go Zelda on you!" shirt and some other nostalgic nintendo wear....(surprisingly enough, he's got a PSP ~_~ )

All my friends who know about it like it. And my friend always wears his The Cheat shirt when ever he gets the chance and nobody knows what it is. Once I was drawing Trogdor in class cause I was bored, everyone thought he was cool, especially his beefy arm.

Wow! I've been reading all these stories (even before I joined) and I don't beleive it. Everybody pretty much knows about it if not likes it. I was telling my friend Christa about it and she had seen it a coupla times before and liked it. I've seen two kids with Trogdor shirts ( one black, one lite) and my sister saw someone with a TGS shirt. If I ever make any general homestar reference (like me writing about it on my Kansass Strategies simple sentence 3A worksheet) people usually go, "Oh, I haven't been to that site in ages." or, "I go there two." It scares me how many people know about it. Iliked it when it was like an exclusive underground club (not that I can talk the first update they put up after I started watching was Animal) where nobody knew where you were talking about.

Me and a few friends go to H*R, though that's it where I live ;-)

I have lots of fun writing FHQWHGADS in big letters in my school book and going around tallying how many people say it right

'Cos H*R is rarely known anywhere near where I live, I've never had anyone go "OMFG That suxorzzz!!!11", though I've had a few people go "What's that?". I tell them the URL, though they never go to it ;-)

A kid wore a Trogdor shirt today. Some kid said it was stupid and for little kids. I'm bringing in my Cheat Commando's shirt tomorrow.

I wore a Trogdor shirt today. Some kid said it was awesome and gave me a high-five. I'm bringing my Coach Z shirt tomorrow. :)

Of course, we have to wear colared shirts and we have to tuck them in, so the only people who saw it were in me PE class.

Heh, I was watching this kid and his friend playing the Stinkoman game in the computer lab yesterday....one of them got to Nebulon, and he's all like "Nobody likes your style." And I'm all like, "Do you like Nebulon's style?"

Moments like that I treasure....another one would be when my friend Jackson didn't think I had seen Bug in Mouth Disease on Monday, when it had come out a week before.

Though today he got freaked out by my Homestar impression, when we were talking about Do Over and I'm like "Stwong Bad, I think I'm falling for you..."

Arrgh. I hate the people I sit with in homeroom...
(Me wearing the Strong Bad shirt)

Z: What's that boxer thing on your shirt?
Me: Strong Bad.
Z: What?
Me: Strong Bad. You know, from Homestar Runner.
A: What's that?
Me: It's a really funny cartoon.
A: On Nickelodeon?
Me: No, it's-
A: Cartoon Network?
Me: No, it's a web cartoon.
Z: Um, I've never heard of that.
Me: Here, I can give you the address.
Z: No.
(I write it down on a piece of paper and begin laboriously tearing it out)
A: Um, It's okay. I don't need to.

Next day...

Z: I went on that website. It looked retarded.
Me: What did you look at?
Z: The cartoons, the characters...
Me: Dude, don't dis Homestar.

And later that day...

A: I went on the website.
Me: Yeah? Did you like it?
A: No, it was stupid.

Gourd. I didn't know anybody could hate Homestar.

Most of the people I know don't like H*R. But then, most of the people I know haven't heard of H*R. Everyone I know that I've shown it to likes it and thinks it's funny.

And now for something completely different:

Well, then you both have equal ammo. Think of this though, at leastyour obsessed over H*R, rather that something like Pokemon...the tv show.

Yeah, today's cartoons are in a sorry state. There's just too many unoriginal cheesy anime/Looney Tunes rehashing/crime-fighting clones (The Crime-Fighting Clones is a cool name for a band! Way better than "Bigg Nife".) on TV and not enough original, funny stuff like The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy; Ed, Edd, n Eddy; and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Heck, the crime-fighting clones even have their own TV theme area around it (Miguzi). On some days, there's nothing worth watching at all. I think 'Net cartoons like H*R are gonna take over completely eventually. It's inevitable. [/offtopic]

I like, um, Homestar of course, and also Teen Titans and Totally Spies, and stuff like that. But TMNT and Static Shock are just... bad. Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy is very annoying and not funny. Reminiscent of Rugrats.

I'm sorry, but comparing Ed, Edd, n' Eddy to Rugrats is like comparing HSR to Happy Tree Friends. Totally different concepts, totally different ways of delivering humor XP I myself happen to love it, but do admit it is DEFINITELY not for everyone. But it is in no way like Rugrats, except they're both animated TV shows.

So true. Rugrats is extremely annoying and not funny in the least. I happen to like Ed, Edd n' Eddy, but it's annoying when they don't come out with new episodes.

Uh...toast paint.

Yeah, apparently my friends do like Homestarrunner.com. One of them while our Reading class in the computer lab, decided to go on homestarrunner.com. He got all the way to the Strong Bad e-Mail menu, until..."Scroll buttons and the lappy, together at last..." He quickly tured the volume dial down and the entire class broke out into laughter.

I just finished my first year o' college, and quite a few people in my dorm knew about the site and thought it was funny, but I don't think any of them were diehard fans. I understand that--a lot of them had TV shows they always watched, or video games they always played, or things like that. I can see how someone might not "be into" H*R. I don't get how someone could "hate" it though; the very worst they could really do is not care, even if they say they hate it, because they don't have to watch it if they don't want to. I've never run into anyone who was actually against H*R.

It's nice to have something like H*R that not everyone knows about. I'm just glad I'm not missing any of it!
