I finally have something new to suggest to the General Discussion Forum! This is phenomenal! And since YouTube commenters are already all over this, it only makes sense to talk about it here.

... Wait a second. How do you make a squintmoji in a forum that already has legitimate Homestar "smilies"?

.... Like this "strong sad?"

I don't know. We'll call it part of the challenge.

Whoops. It auto-formatted all the emojis to the left side of the screen. That didn't work.

Yes, that was pretty good! I woulda put a bigger gap between the Homsars at the bottom.

I find I have to squint not 75% as in the toon, but well above 90%. I do better removing my glasses, closing one eye, and deliberately de-focusing. (if I de-focus with both eyes, I see double images)

And you beat me to the punch with using light text, and I didn't even think of using a quote to force the background to be white.

Uh, lessee... kind of limited in options, most of the ones in the toon are pretty elaborate... plus it's harder to do it without using the moji for whom you're trying to depict, at least if you're trying to stay in color.
I think most of the squintmojis in the toon, it was supposed to be obvious *who* it was, but you weren't supposed to really "see the shape" until you squint. Therefore I'm staying with the colors.

Add one E and one T. :)
I like how Homsar's shirt works perfectly for Homestar's blue glued-to-his-feet soles. Not sure what the bowler hat is supposed to be, though. Maybe Homestar's wearing orange dead animal kneepads. Squinting doesn't really work for this one, since it makes those Strong Sads blend into the background. Looks like his skin is invisible or something. That would be pretty cool actually. He'd get to eat all the Swiss Cake Rolls he wants, but he'd have to face the dangers of being sat on by Strong Mad. Aaand I'm getting off topic.

Also TheTinyGiant, that squintmoj— squintmoticon I guess would be a more accurate term —is... Pom... Pom? The Cheat? Dripping Yellow Madness? Not Dennis? Maybe I need to look at it computer-style instead of on mobile. Anyway, whoever that is, it's probably pretty cool. I'm sure it would be easy for me to recognize if I was a not inexperienced squintmoticon recognizer. I need to practice my squinting more often. Anyway, great jorearrghb.

 : I'm sad that I'm invisible.

That would be awesome. In addition to the not-getting-beaten-up capabilites, Strong Sad could go to parties and feel like he was socially interacting without having to actually interact with anyone. Sounds fantastic. Sign me up!

More on topic, I think that's Pom Pom as well. And I'm glad someone figured out the white text thing.

Yes, it was supposed to be Pom Pom. It would be too cheap to put his head at the top, methinks. Yes, compy-style may well work better. The correct hexidecimal color code to blend in with a quote is not actual white (#FFFFFF), but #FAFAFA. Anydangway, glad you liked it!

Actually I only agreed about it being Homsar :homsar: instead of Homestar* :hr: because PlaysetsandToysBuyer said it. I took one glance, didn't know the concept, watched the toon, then at some point forgot to see who it is. I think the stance and leg length is a bit more Homsar-ish.

*See, that's how you're supposed to do it! Use the emoji to supplement the text, rather than replace it! Otherwise it looks like "agreed about it being instead of " which is confusing because you have to switch between word mode and visual mode. There used to be a forum "rule" about that.

I think "Not Dennis" might look like Dennis, i.e.
Not Dennis

So I guess the squintmoji for Not Dennis is:
:trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor:
And for Dennis, or Get Dagger, or Take Dagger, or Ye Flask, would be similar:
:trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor:
Some of those might be
:trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor:
:trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor:

Here is the squintmoticon for "look parapets".
:trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor:

Also, I made these using the smilies on the fanstuff wiki forum.

Yes! I knew somebody with more time on their hands than me would roll with this and do something crazy!
