In the DVD commentary for "Animal" Mike says, regarding a mistake they made, that he "read that on the wiki." So apparently... THEY are watching.

Pretty cool, huh?

Yeah, it's cool. I'm glad that TBC enjoy our efforts. Bazooka Joe posted this in this topic.

Quote:
MIKE: ...Oh, we messed up here, like, he says "segmented eyes," but he actually has compound eyes.

MATT: Ohhh.

MIKE: Read that on the wiki.

MATT: Good job.

MIKE: Goofs.

MATT: Goofs. That's a total goof. Strong Bad messed up, Mike. We knew our stuff.

MIKE: That's true. We did that on purpose.

MATT: Yeah. What is "segmented eyes" like?

MIKE: I dunno.

MATT: Is that a made-up thing?

MIKE: Maybe.

MATT: I remember originally—

MIKE: "Segmented bodies."

MATT: The line said, "segmented eyes" and "segmented butt," but we cut out "segmented butt."

MIKE: That's too risqué. Too risky.

That's pretty wicked. Or, wiki'd.

I love the fact that they refer to it as just "the wiki." It's like being on a first-name basis with TBC.

So they DO know about us! The wiki is easy to find anyway.

You mean it's like being on a first-name basis with Mike and Matt, of course.

Plus, Mike says "the Wiki" and Matt knows what he's talking about.
Plus, they know the terminology we use (viz: "goofs")

So I guess it's not an occasional "they happened across it once", it's a bit more regular than that. That or they looked at it just before making the commentary to refresh their memory.

Or perhaps they read it after they make the emails to see if we caught everything. The point is, TBC know about the Wiki and (if this means anything) they read it. That should give everyone a warm, fuzzy feeling inside.

"The Wiki". That's so awesome.

Ah, but the real question is, do they pronounce it wickee or weekee?

Ooh...fuzzy...
That's so cool. I can't wait until I get that DVD to hear it myself. Then, it'll probably be even cooler.

oh, by the way, when they say...

...they are joking around. You can tell they were the ones who really messed up by listening to their tone. I don't know how some of you may have interpreted that just by reading it, so...

That's how I'm hearing a lot more people pronounce it. I may have crossed over to the wickee side myself.

I am going to personally stab in the face the next person who mistakes this thread for a place to discuss the pronunciation of "wiki."

Aww, IJ beat me. The correct place for such a discussion is here. So if you really want to talk about it, go there. Or I'll gnaw your face off.

Actually, it was in the "remarks" section at the time (see my post here), but I guess we've moved it to goofs since then.

Yes, this is very nice. Knowing that they are aware of this wiki gives you this... warm feeling. And at least they don't..... threaten to sue you for having a wiki *points at Matt Wilson*.

We should convince them to register.

That would be cool, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do someday. I don';t think they'd come much though.

Well there aren't any other Homestar-related wikis...

There was never threat of a lawsuit, only of a cease-and-desist order. And that wasn't for having the wiki, it was for posting his personal files on it.

I doubt it- I'm sure they've got better things to do. It'd be like a king hanging out with peasants.

Careful. Let's get safely back on topic.
I think it's good that Matt and Mike have found the wiki, but it wouldn't be hard not to. They might even listen to our suggestions:

I'm just saying, out of the blue, to the TBC, if they're listening that I don't think TBC should make a big thing about any of this, I mean it's not like it's more new than it was before, it's just a test of our characters!
Phew, glad I got that off my chest.
Incase you didn't notice, there is a hidden message in there.

What's wrong with new characters? If TBC want to make some more characters, they can go ahead.

I seriously doubt they'd say "hey, I'm Matt" or something like that if they did post here. I mean, come one, y'all saw what happened when Queenie, MHG, and SC posted their pics.. We were all like WHOA!! and now we won't leave them alone... If TBC did come here, as TBC, it'd be like that times 2356... I don't even know what that is.. Nobody does.

hmph. Thats cool. But I half expected it with a lot of the stinkoman rumors coming true along with some others that were posted... can't remember them off the top of my head.

One such rumor being the recent glitch level in Stinkoman. Coincidence? Possibly, they may have derived the idea from when they did Virus... or intended to do it eventually all along.

But since it's easy to find the wiki just by doing a simple search, I'd say it's a safe bet that they were going to find it eventually. If they have any kind of tracking software, I bet you they can see all the people who get to their site via links on the wiki as well.

Plus... the wiki is probably like a giant H*R encyclopedia that they can just use for their own speedy benefit of looking up certain things etc. without having to remember them or what not.

I bet they use the wiki sometimes while making new stuff. Who knows if they visit the forums though.

If I were TBC (hey maybe I am? You never know! Except of course for the fact that I'm not...) then I'd browse the forums sometimes just to laugh at the wild speculation that goes on here...
"They think the next Stinkoman boss will be who?"
Maybe even start a few wild rumours of my own, completely false of course, just for fun...

But that's me.
