Under the "playlist" section in Wired, Strong Bad DVD sits under the box "what the Wired gang is into this month".

    Strong Bad DVD
Our favoritest webtoons feature Strong Bad, a cantankerous wrestler in boxing gloves, answering emails from fans. (Don't ask how he types with boxing gloves on.) His first 130 missives are now on disc, with tons of extras.

I would've liked it if they actually gave it a rating, or even mentioned the Wiki. Oh well.

(They're also not afraid to admit that they're into "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson.)

That's awesome! More fans for Homestar Runner, now, and more money for TBC with their DVDs.

Though I'm sure most people who have subscriptions to Wired know what Homestar Runner is. :)

You're probably right, but, not everyone on the magazine knows about Homestar Runner. That's a promotion for them, unless, Wired is a Homestar Runner magazine, which I don't think it is. :)

Nah. Just a magazine for tech geeks. ;)

They only have, what, 15 items in the Playlist section each month? That smells light a pretty high rating to me.

Oh yes. I love that song.

Under the Kelly Clarkson thing in the playlist:

We're not ashamed to admit it: Nevins' remixes of this single from American Idol winner Clarkson are even more bangin' than the origninal. Respect, Simon!

I was talking really about the little bar ratings, but I see what you're saying. The fact that's it's actually in there is good.

Cool, more fans for HR, more members for the form, and quicker bandwith usages!.. wait, that last one's not good.

If only Homestar and company could become popular outside the geek world. If only there was some way to let the rest of the world know about this site's awesomeness.

But then it will lose indie value and all the cool kids will hate it because it's popular!

edit: frig, beaten

Oh yeah, good point. Let's keep it within the geek world. The outside world isn't smart enough to handle sophisticated humor like this:

:sb: *bounces around on head with a floppy disk taped to his face* Boink. REE-oh! Boink. REE-oh! Boink. REE-oh!

Oh no. Let's keep it to ourselves. ;)

I know this thread is pretty old, but Homestar Runner was featured again in this month's (well, May) Wired.
    WATCH THIS WAY
Toons, news, diaries, comedy... there's an online video for every viewer.

    HomestarRunner.com
    www.homestarrunner.com
Snotty kid Homestar Runner headlines these webtoons, but the show-stealer is surly Mexican wrestler Strong Bad. Don't miss his replies to viewer email.

It also listed other animations, such as Weebl & Bob and It's JerryTime! Interesting description, eh?

Snotty?

Seriously, what's up with the snotty thing? Homestar's friendly with pretty much everyone, with the exception of Strong Sad, and occasion Marzipan, and even then it's only because he's not smart enough to realize he's being rude.

Well, when I hear"Snotty", I definately don't think of Homestar Runner. When I hear "No armed whitey", that's when I think of Homestar.

I think when they say "snotty," they mean "congested." Listening to Homestar's voice, you could easily assume he's got a permanent head cold.
