So in the Strong Bad Email what are they talking about Staving off?

It's probably something entirely random. You know how Homsar's mind works. Keep in mind, this guy is a song from the 60's raised by a cup of coffee.

Homesar is a song? I thought he was a spelling error that the Chap Brothers (I think that's what they're called correct me if I'm wrong) decided to go along with and create a person

Didymus just linked to the full screen version as opposed to the normal way....I always watch the emails in fullscreen...it's just cooler!

WIDESCREEN! Left side WHHAAAAAA! Right side WHHAAAAA! :newsb:

Ok, that doesn't really work...but it reminded me of that!

I prefer normal, because on widescreen the picture is, like, poking outta the sides. That's weird...

I'm pretty sure that "stave it off" is actually a term used in fighting.
As in 'to stave someone off', meaning 'to defend yourself with a staff'.
Basically, club someone with a stick.
It now, of course, has the meaning everyone else has said.

Yep, I read that "Stave it off" means "hit it with a stick until it goes away."

Completely ignoring the fact that this topic is from about 4 and a half years ago, I'd say Mike and Matt sung that.

I might be going insane, but the guy has a guitar.
Mabye he means 'start a musical stave' or to start a stave or mabye even to finish a stave or finish a song.

This would work, but stave is a plural of staff. There is no such thing as one stave.

True! I didn't think of that!
