I'm in favor of the idea of moving the entire forum part of the site to hr.net, and at the top it'll say "Homestarrunner.net" where it says "Homestar Runner Wiki Forum", and still have "a companion to the homestar runner wiki" under it. it would be an effective use of the domain name, and would also possibly incline people to participate in the forum who either aren't aware or are apathetic of contibuting to the wiki, and basically make the forum an entity of it's own and not just another part of the wiki. they would still be connected, but they would be seperate entities. |

We've got the portal, and that's what we're doing. Right? It's not my decision to make, but I think this thread should be locked at this point.... |

Believe it or not, but this forum is actually supposed to be a supplement to the wiki. People are suppost to visit the wiki and find the forum from there, not the other way around. |

There was a fansite with some flash animations on it. It was either called Everybody to the Limit, or it was called Fhqwhgads... it had a scary duck on it though. edit - it was everybodytothelimit.com and the duck was called Fhqwhgads and it IS scary edit - make that scary and self destructed |

You're talking about a mirror, right? There are already several good ones listed on the wiki. I wouldn't want to duplicate their efforts. |

is this good so far, joey? i made the entire strong bad that i am animating myself. the only thing i "borrowed" from the real toons is the background, because i was having trouble making those little round trees. here, take a peek at it ppl... ******http://media.putfile.com/test8968 i clipped out the first few seconds of the whole thing... so i have a lot more done that just this. yes, i don't like the jaggies either... i did a lot of resizing and that messed something up i think... and homestar has always been that way since i photoshopped him a month ago to make my "homestar sings" music video flash and the strange 3 in the morning flash experiment (see"flash stuff" in arts and crafts) tgies did the voice... he does some pretty good impressions of the other characters too... i'm completely finished with this sucker now so heres the thing (putfile.com busted on me so i had to store it elsewhere, so you have to download it) *this link has been removed* please see http://fanstuff.hrwiki.org/index.php/Awesomations%21 did i get you on the gravy train? |

No, you didn't. This is exactly what I meant to discourage in my earlier comment. To be truthful, I'm very impressed by your work, but if it's not done by TBC, it is by definition (no matter how well done) a knock-off. I'm not going to put a knock-off on the new portal, period. I'd prefer that any easter eggs on the new site point to real TBC toons the way the easter eggs do on the current hr.net page. The only legitimate alternative would be to create an original flash animation with our own original characters, but I'm not sure what the point of that would be. |

Yes, Flash skills like that will get you very popular on the fanstuff. There's a bunch of people out there that'll flock to your work. Although I doubt you'll move to the fanstuff, you should post your little movie there, so it won't be worthless. |

Maybe homestarrunner.net can be a page about all of the inside jokes on the site, like HomestarRunner.net. You know, stuff like "Cheap as Free", "{noun}'D", "Witches Brew", etc. |
