Ever run into any fans of H*R that you didn't know were fans... friends, strangers on the street... because you were wearing a shirt or something from the H*R store?

One of my friends saw my Peasant's Quest shirt and immediately was like "Your a fan of H*R?! Me too!" And by that time I had been a fan for nearly 2 years.

Another saw my StrongBad Zone shirt and did the same.

And on a trip to North Carolina in '04, I ran into a guy wearing a Homsar made from a cup of coffee or whatever it says shirt... and we started chattin it up about H*R.

Anyone else have such experiences?

Well, last year in 6th grade I saw that my teacher (A total comic book expert/nerd. :p ) had a Trogdor desketop background on his laptop. Before we went to lunch, I asked him about it and he quoted Strongbad's Trogdor song's first few lines. Friends forever!

Also, at Rec-Pac over this summer, I wore the old Homestar Runner shirt and one of the counselors was like, "Nice. Homestar Runner." (laid back attitude, of course :p).

That's about the only times that that's occured, though.

When i got my :sb: swe-at shirt a few people at school were like "Cool man, Strong Bad rocks." people i never knew watched it. (Like my best friend lol)

And when i went camping up at mammoth a guy was walking by and saw my :sb: swe-at shirt and was all "Strong Bad thinks you have a stupid and smelly butt" (in a rough sb accent) It was funny.

Tats bout it.

I met a girl in school who likes homestar because she shouted:

"HEY FUNKSTAR!!"
And I said "What did you say"
And she replied "Funkstar. . ."
"Because I thought you said home-" I began
"Homestar Runner!"

I'm confused. Is "Funkstar" your nickname in school or something?

I have a Trogdor hoodie, and every month or so, I'll get a compliment from a random person. My friend Amy, who is a tall, hot blonde, borrowed it one night because she was cold, and three people in a row complimented her on the sweatshirt.

There's a girl a couple of years above me in school. I've known her for over year. I walked into a bookshop wearing my h-star-r shirt, and somehow found her there. She noticed the shirt immediately.
"OHMYGODOHMYGOD I NEED THAT SHIRT!"
"...You KNOW?"
"Yeah, I go on there like all the time! Strong Bad is my fave!"
After she left, I very nearly hyperventilated.

About five different people shouted "Strong Bad!" to me when I wore my Strong Bad shirt to Six Flags.

Well, a couple weeks ago, I was buying a fleece thing, and the cashier was all "I like your shirt." I didn't get it until I looked down and I saw that I was wearing my SB shirt.

And just yesterday I was in the market for some old NES games while wearing my Homestar Runner hoodie, so I went down to the game hole, and the guy was like "Homestar rocks.". I think Homestar is getting out there more. It's really big in Utah, now.

Yeah, up at my college you'll see people outside talking about H*R. I once was wearing my Strong Bad t, and people were like, "Yeah, that shirt rocks" Or "Holy Crap man." It's a great feeling, as well as kinda creepy too.

When I was at school I was on a computer in a lounge and I brought up Homestar Runner. One of the other people in the lounge said, "Homestar Runner" just H*R does.

At camp over the summer, I saw a little boy with an H*R t-shirt on. 1st grade, maybe? I was charmed that his parents had such good taste.

I wore a Homestar Runner (the character) shirt to a camp last year.

Kid: Hey, I like your shirt.
Me: Thanks.
Kid: Yeah, that's from Homestar Runner, right? Yeah. I especially like that one guy... um... he does that thing...
Me: *heart sinks* Strong Bad?
Kid: Yeah, that one!

I'm hoping to meet another insane fan someday.

Well I *did* know they were fans already, but I met the guys who make Red vs. Blue at Toronto's ComicCon last summer and they complimented my Trodgor shirt. :)

I noticed that a guy in my class wore a Trogdor hoodie once, so I had to ask about it. He wasn't very talkative, so it was just a short talk... but I figure he must be a fairly big fan if he bought some merchandise. He had been in my classes for 5 years, and I didn't know a thing about him. So I guess that was pretty cool.

Another time, I was talking about the DVDs to some pals of mine when some kid came up and said he had been to the site before. He thought it was damn funny. Again, pretty cool.

One time I went to a canival at a college wearing my The Cheat shirt. As I was walking by one guy he said, "Who's always giving Strong Bad a hand?" Then I yelled, "THE CHEAT!"

Later at that carnival there was a skeeball game painted link h*r and they let me play for free because I had a The Cheat shirt on. :cheat:

I also find that interesting, because I once saw a guy with a Trogdor shirt at Cedar Point but couldn't say anything, as I was about 30 feet above him on the skyride.

But I felt like yelling "TROGDOOORR" at him, just to see if he'd react.

One time I was just doodling some crappy The cheat heads and some chick just walked past and said Homestar was lame. I suppose that doesn't really count but, it still happened!

okokok, this is weird beyond belief....

so i went to this one schol for kindergarten and 1st grade, and then switched schools. then i went to check out this other school to switch schools again in 9th grade. thats right, 8 years l8er. and this is a totally diff school that i had never been to or heard of. and so i go there for a day to look around, and i find this guy in a h*r shirt. it was the blue one with :hr: running along. and i was like "hey, i like your shirt." and we got in to this conversation, and we ended up figuring out that we had been in the same 1st grade glass 8 years previously at a totally different school! FREAKY!

yeah i dont know if this counts... but by the auditorium of my school theres an art room.. and outside of the art room there is normally pictures of stuff people drew. So i was walking past there one day and i saw a really bad pic of trogdor(but still a pic none the less) and i literally collapsed! i shouted "TROGDOR!!!!" then i noticed it was horrible so i said "I said S and more different S!" in my best SB voice. I really want to know who made it but it didnt have a name on it...

In french class last year, we were doing themed dioramas (sp?), and my group did dragons, so I made a little Trogdor out of construction paper. It was amazing. I ended up giving it to Pocky.

This year, we made dragon masks in Mythology class, and I made a Trogdor mask. It wasn't quite as cool as my construction paper cutout, though.

Usually the people who compliment me on my Trogdor hoodie are people who work in Hot Topic and GameStop, because they're usually nerds (you'd have to be to work in either of those stores). One time, I was on the train, and some thirty year-old guy got on and said "Nice sweatshirt" as he walked by.

One time, I wasn't even wearing my hoodie, but the girl at the cash register at Hot Topic saw my H*R keychain on my wallet. I saw her grin at it, but she didn't say anything at first. She told me the price and I paid her, and then she said, "Whoa, free money!" That definitely made my week.

I draw Trogdor a lot while I'm in school. He's not my favorite character, though; he's just the easiest to draw. Every now and then somebody who sits next to me will say, "Hey, Trogdor. Nice."

One thing that's a bit depressing is when someone notices your H*R gear, and then says something about it, but it turns out they just watched it a couple times when they were bored or something. I've yet to meet a fellow die-hard fan in person; other than Eldiran and Pocky, of course.

One time at an academic match I had, after the match we were eating and I heard a person from the other team talking about the SBEMAIL Bed time story, so we started talking.
