What happened?

This topic has come a long way. It's obviously a wonderful example of how people cope after being cut-off from an addictive substance. lol.

Possibilities for no new toons:
1. The Brothers Chaps didnt want to do it, and wanted to spend time with family.
2. They are making a new giant guitar.
3. The Brothers Chaps died.
4. They are being held hostage by "Coolio De Fablio" for making fun of his name.
5. They ran out of ideas.
6. They both got sick, and are trying to rest it off.
7. They moved.
8. Their computer exploded.
9. They got jobs (not likely).
10. They stopped doing it (REALLY not likely, because they would work on a fairwell toon)
11. They are working on a fairwell toon (maybe).
12. They hate us.
13. They took the money from sales of merchendise and fled to Moscow.
14. Someone annoyed them too much (considering the previous annoyances, not likely)
15. The site was updated, but it then undid it.
16. Homestarrunner is getting a new look.
17. They are waiting for new emails (IMPOSSIBLE).
18. They quantum tunneled to the center of the earth (more likely than item 17).
19. Strong bad got feed up with emails.
20. We need to get a life.
21. All of the above.

I doubt that one, they only did it because *insert the name I'm forgetting here* requested they make it for an auction for charity.

Unless they're doing it again, which I doubt.

The short version of my take:

Extremely likely: 1, 20
Certainly worth speculating about: 16, 19
Faintly possible but highly doubtful: 2, 7, 8, 11
Most exobably not: the rest

I don't think TBC make a ton of money off their site. They make enough to earn a living but I don't think they're rich. I could be wrong, however. For all I know they could be millionaires. Anyway if they're finished with H*R I think they'd need to find another source of income. That isn't bloody likely so chances are they're just taking a holiday break.

Or maybe they're busy filming Peasent's Quest: The Movie (also not very likely)

For all we know they could come out this Monday with the longest H*R toon they've ever made. Like a half hour toon... or something.

wait... but if they kept repeating the same day, it would be like tons of time for them, but for us it would all still be the same day because we aren't stuck in a repeating thing... no time would pass for us... so that can't be... unless we're all repeating the same day, which would suck because that would mean winter would last forever... i better stop before my hed asplode.

24. they were lost at sea in a tragic sponge fishing accident in the caribbean and are now adrift in a lifeboat

27. their neighbor who is a theoretical physicist/engineer built a machine that could convert real objects into data and transfer them into a computer, and the machine went haywire and trapped TBC in their own site (like in Tron sort of)

29. they are working on a homestar movie, to be released in theaters this fall
30. they forgot the password to get into their computers and have had to hire a hacker to get in there and unlock the system

32. they wanted to see what happened when they didn't update to see how many people actually visit the site on a regular basis

Well I heard that they tried to build a robotic version of Homestar and it went crazy with power. Currently they're battling it with a huge robotic Strong Bad over in east Canada, but Strong Bad keeps stopping to make funny comments about Canada's landscape.

Hey, I'm one of the dregs who joined because of no updates. More importantly because I've been reading this thread since it started, and decided to wait unti the wanky arguments died off.

I was expecting a lot more shocked posts because of the lack of updates today [or maybe it's too early for that?]
