homestar does not have invisable arms, but invisable hands. he has no arms to speak of, and his hands are controlled like raymans are. ever notice how all of the references in the show are about arms? this could explain why homestar is a "no armed whitey" and why "marzipan can't keep her hands offa strong bad" Tell me what you think!

Well, good theory, but Ima go with either the psycic ability or invisible appendages.

here's a thought. if we can't see his arms, how do we know that they come out of his torso? they could be connected to his knees. now THATs creepy!

I'm going with the fact that it is an internet cartoon.

I'm with invisible appendages.

BTW, why does he not have to have arms, there is nothing proving that he dosen't have arms.

I think the rules of this universe don't nescasarily apply to the H*R universe and so, Homestar can pick things up without arms or hands because he just can.

I have this crazy new theory, too! That theory is that he's a cartoon and all known real world logic fails to apply to him, Marzipan, Homsar or the King of Town.

But if that is the case wouldn't he be able to steal stuff from Bubs' stand while still sitting in his house?

Well, it's possible that he does have some sort of psychic ability, but can only use them within a certain range. Like, he has to be within 2 feet of the object to pick it up.

It's a cartoon. Things that have do happen in the real world don't have to happen on HSR.

here's an interesting question:
when homestar lifts something, does the weight apply to him? in other words, does he feel how heavy it is? i say this because i think he lifted a couch in Where my hat is at and he didn't look like it was heavy.

Homestar and Marzipan tap into a different plane of reality to manipulate the stuff around them. You can't see it because your brains can't comprehend the insane abstract mathematics involved. Homestar and Marzipan's "arms" and "hands" are just euphemisms for this ability. Strong Bad does something similar when he types.

Great. We just had a nice, simple conversation, and you had to get all intellectual on us. Now my mind hurts.

I hope you're happy Kevin...err...Mikes.

Maybe it's limited for some reason... Or Homestar just doesn't know he has no arms (Proven in that one cartoon there) and never tohught to do that.

I think their lack of arms is similar to the way Wile E. Coyote can walk on thin air. He can do it as long as he doesn't look down. Perhaps the same is true of Homestar's lack of arms: he can pick stuff up as long as thinks he has arms. As you'll recall in the Strong Bad Is a Bad Guy toon, Strong Bad didn't have the heart to tell Homestar that he didn't have any arms. Perhaps this is because the realization would nullify his invisible arms.

bubs can fly unless you make his say 'sbu'
so i suppose that homestar and the rest can pick stuff up unless you make him think that he doesn't have arms. that's the easiest one to go with today. you win a buncha smilies :eekdance: :usa: :[ :cheat: :sb: :hr: :marzi:

I always thought he could do that because it was a cartoon. :p

I'm not too sure about the invisible arm thing. Unless he has more than two arms, how else could he multiple things (like in Time Capsule) like he does? And why woundn't he punch in Marshmallows Last Stand? He just kicked instead.

Can we talk about whether H*R has invisible arms or just telepathic powers here then?

Personally, based on "Yello-Dello", I think that they have invisible arms, because if they had telepathic powers, they could lift things from far away.

Plus, wouldn't people with arms have telepathic powers too?

Well, Strong Bad does, kinda. He can open up Cold Ones and remove Homestar's beanie cap telepathically. However, he only ever did that in one email, which was a long time ago. But it is an instance of telekenesis.

I never bought the telekinesis idea. I think Homestar would need to have normal brain functions before he could develop extra ones. :P

well, i did hate that fairy. the mayor from powerpuff girls killed her somehow. i wish i could.

oh, the topic. well, if the wil.e.coyote theory got disproved, he has telepathic powers but can't lift things more than a metre away because his powers are limited. like radio controlled cars.
