Ok, I'm making this movie for my school's film fest called "The Glen Crest Witch Project". Anyway, I figured one of the actors in my movie would really like H*R, so I let her borrow: 1.Strongbad_email.exe 1-100 2.Strongbad_email.exe 101-130 3. Everything Else vol. 1 So anyway, then a few days later I get a call from her saying that her mom found them "innapropriate". Has this ever happened to anyone? |

Well dumb name, The only thing "inappropriate" is your terrible spelling of the title of this thread! [/generic Strong Bad moment] (sorry, couldn't resist) 
Did her mom mention anything that was specifically wrong with it? Maybe it was one of those "OMG TBC ARE GETTING EDGY WTFBBQ!!!" moments.

She's prejudging it. Since other webtoons shes had experience with had some swears, she assumes all webtoons are the same. Just tell your friend to show her mom a good one (Not Trogdor, that'll probably also be innapropriate) but one like animal or something. |

The kid's mom is probably overprotective. Homestar isn't for "kids" in the first place. Even though it was based on a children's book, many of the jokes are directed at the older crowd, like 15+. |

I don't know if I'd say that. It seems more of a "tween-up" thing to me; maybe age 10+. Like the new ESRB rating, sort of. |

My mother just sighs and shakes her head in the general direction of H*R. Though, she DID laugh when Homestar informed Senor Cardgage that he smelled like pea soup. |

I do have to agree with you though, compared to most webtoons H*R is pretty clean. She's probably had bad experienses with webtoons in the past. |

Well, I've heard some stories about her mom, like: She wouldn't let her daughter go to the social unless she chaperones. She cannot watch TV unless her mom is home. or internet No AIM. EVER. She can only see "G" and "PG" movies.(No mater how old she gets) My friend can't stand it and says she wants to kill her mom. She is really funny and a nice person. but her mom is nuts. Maybe another reason for this is because her mom is divorced. I don't know. Comments? |

Augh, some parents just don't get it. You're not protecting them from anything, you're making them want to see it more. If you trust a kid, they will be trustworthy. (Most of the time) |

I think plenty stuff is cleaner, but crap is pretty much the worst thing on the whole thing. Mostly the bird is bad, but nothing else is really bad, maybe island or flag day because of the blood. BTW, you look up sites made entirely for children like Boobah? |

They're probably the ones that drive their kids to school on rainy days, call them "play dates" when their teenage children go over to their friend's houses, and consider "darn" a curse. The kind that talk very quietly, and when you bring up college, they change the subject and get teary-eyed. |

I'm one of those lucky kids who got parents who trust them. Like the time my friend invited me to see an R-rated movie with him... I backed out, saying, "But I don't wanna asked my parents; I mean, I've never been to one before..." Breaching the subject with my mom later, she said, "Umm, you are 17, you know. You don't have to ask." My parents like Homestar. My dad especially. He made us a H*R mousepad! |

I did that when I was 17, too XD My mom was SO strict when I was 16 I just assumed I'd have to ask for the rest of my life. And then for my 18th birthday, she bought me anime porn. Thanks, mom. |
