Yo. I just wondering. Why do the Mods only have control over a few of the forums here, rather than all or most? Is there any rhyme and reason behind your choices of who moderates what, or did you just give them random threads? Because it seems kind of annoying for a Toon Mod to not be able to lock an Email thread, for example.

Its all called "Leveling The Playing Feild", the ones who are more Artsy controll the Arts and Crafts, The one who's Opinions dont bother to himself runs Religeon and Polotics, the one whos the most interactive gamer runs Forum Games, and the most off topic type of guy runs Off Subject Disscussion.

Isn't Didy a good debator-type-guy? Why doesn't he mod the R&P forum? I don't think your theory is exactly right.

And it doesn't explain the seperation of the mods in the H*R-related threads, which all seem pretty similar in content.

I'm not exactly sure myself, I even wondered about that at first. However, I now think that it is because since he's in those debates so much, to make him a Mod there wouldn't seem fair or right.

That's what I initially thought, but StrongRad debates quite a bit there as well...

We let our mods choose a few forums they want to be mods for. If they don't want to have to worry about A&C, for example, we don't make them. Didymus didn't want to be a mod in R&P, so he isn't.

That's actually a pretty good idea, when I think about it. Keeps mods from getting tangled up in too many forums so they don't get fatigued or end up lagging behind.

Yeah, that's what I realized after some thought. Originally, I thought that it was dangerous to have mods take seperate topics becuase I thought spammers and such would spam the non-mod boards (if you can follow that). But after looking back, another mod or admin always comes to the rescue, so it's no big deal.

Personally I've always found it unnecessary to have a separate Emails forum. They are toons too.

What Ninti said. They don't like it when people constantly claim that they should be mods. Usually you have to be levelheaded and friendly, and not easy to lose your temper.

Nope, and if he's tried to sell you any bridges you should try to get your money back before he spends it. :)

That, and his avatar seems like a "mod" avatar. I don't know why. It just does. Le deal.
