Haldo. I'm alexpen. For a few years I've been frequently visiting the Homestar Runner website and enjoying the weekly cartoons and updates. When TBC stopped making updates to the site, I wasn't too upset about it - after all, they've been making these awesome and funny cartoons for the better part of a decade, and they've made life more entertaining for me and my friends for the better part of the last 5 years.
The reason why I'm saying "Enough is enough" is because I'm sick of seeing all these "Homestar is dead" topics popping up. Mike and Matt have been updating the site constantly for almost ten years, and deserve to take a break; and while the fact that they've made little mention of the hiatus to their fans can be considered rude, it is not up to us to force them to do anything. Remember, these guys started the site as just a bit of fun for their friends to view, and it ended up snowballing into something bigger - plus, they're currently working on a couple of other projects right now (such as
Monster Safari) that are taking up a lot of their time.
Complaining and getting upset won't solve anything - it just makes people sad. My suggestion is to start talking about all the good times and re-watching some of the older cartoons until the hiatus is over. After all, just because we aren't getting any new cartoons doesn't mean we can't enjoy the ones we've already got, right?
Anyways, there's my two cents on the matter.
