Does anyone know? Do they pick the most-watched ones or the ones that get more praise on these forums or what?

i think they just choose which ever e-mail they want to become IVideos. eventually, all of the current e-mails will be a ipod video.

(i think podcasts are just an MP3 file...)

Looks like they're picking the most popular ones right now.

While true that many e-mails won't be picked (Trevor for example) it would be nice if they were all on there.

Maybe they're doing their favorites?

All the ones so far have been popular, however.

it seems that they are picking emails that are "classic"--the type of thing that you would direct a homestar runner uninitiate to to help them get a feel for the site. also they are funny enough that longtime fans can enjoy them. i like the idea of it for now but i don't particularly like the idea of everything becoming downloadable. the site itself is a fun experience and i guess it's because i don't have a video iPod that i'm not excited about it as much as some people are.

for those of you that have them though, enjoy, H*R anywhere must be sweet.

I made a d150 once, I just took a d6 and wrote a 1 and a 0 next to the 5...

Noone would let me play with it though.

I'm just waiting for them to get with the program and start releasing the really popular emails, like tape-leg.

Normally yes, but in this case, they are in fact MPEG-4 Part 14 video (a container format, like Ogg is to audio files.)

I would assume that you don't have an iPod. Neither do I for that matter, but somewhere along the line I learned to distinguish "podcasts" from other audio files...although many can, apparently, be accessed from said apple devices. As an archivist I enjoy saving and preserving files for posterity's sake. I like having .SWF files that contain glitches that were later fixed (by TBC)...Don't ask me why!

Sorry for getting off-topic.

Well, it looks like they started out picking the ones that were most popular but by no it looks like they've moved on to THEIR personal favorites. Most likely, you'll eventually see all the Strong Bad E-mails on the Podcast except for the really old and crappy ones or the ones no one likes (like making out or theme party).
