I forgot the name of the audio recorder that I use, but I do remember I downloaded it for free. :/ I wish I had more details to offer...

Ok, my recorder is called WavePad. It's not bad for a piece of totally free software.

For recorders, I recommend audacity. It is freeware, readily available on many download sites, and contains quite a bit of features for a free program. It not only lets you reverse, change pitch, etc., but you can also save your files as an MP3, which will be nice if you want to post them on putfile...

Allright, I have two now. I figured out how to get the sound.

The Cheat Theme Song

Because It's Midnite

Oh, and don't try the Different Town song.... it just sounds like a bunch of gibberish (except, ironically, for Homsar's line).

Has anyone tried to reverse "These people try to Fade me?" yet? That'd be interesting to hear/interperate...

The backwards The Cheat theme almost sounds like it's in French or something. :P

Remember what I said earlier about "Different Town"? Well, I set out to prove myself wrong.

Thank Bob I did, because this contains some of the most hilarious stuff ever.

Different Town

Moments to watch out for:
•Homestar saying "Nope, yup!"
•"Well, er, meet me at the booze shelter!"
•Some of the weirdest words ever used in any song, let alone a backwards one (igloo, myrrh, posh, bohemia, plural, ornery, slogan, carpool, astral, et cetera et cetera et cetera)
•The incredible anticlimactic moment at the end
•How the song seems to make less and less sense as it goes on

That Different Town one was the best so far. Awesome. :)

Does Audicity work on Mac?

Yes, I should know because I use a Mac.

It's available in Windows, Mac, and Linux versions.

Legal double post.

I just want to say this:

Why come you didn't carve your pump-a-kin-- I mean, why come nobody's done a backwards version of Experimental Film? That would totally rock!

Wow. Different Town is the most random backwards song ever.

But Trogdor is still my favorite. Woooooah! IT'S MARCH!

Fwhahah! I listened to everything here and I must say that Nwot Tnereffid is the most amazing. Rodgort is second only to this.

"Nope, yup!"

I am honored.

And "Nope, yup!" is my favorite line. Reminds me of the thing in the Strong Bad Is In Jail Cartoon.

Flash Decompiler can extract the MP3s from the flash files without a microphone. If I weren't going to bed right now I'd do one for the experimental film.

I got this done this morning, but I didn't have time to upload it.
Listen. It sounds pretty funny

I'm not sure about subliminal messages, but at the end it sounds like "You want to be someone, I wanna be everyone..." :?:

CT's take on the reversed Experimental Film lyrics--or at least what Ed's portion sounds like.

I present to you: "Raw Knot Steak."

Heeeeeeeey...
I want you
You wanna say
It ain't Raoul
Who we play
You want me, yeah...
Raw knot steak!
It ain't no way!
To eat and weigh!
With lemon Ness!
The blue moon's here,
But I don't dress,
I get it!
All I need is
Raw knot steak!
You ain't got none.
To eat and weigh!
Put them in robes!
She's suing you
For the awkward splay,
Why everything we love beyond the woods
Is going to find you drinking.

maybe you should change it to "Raw, not steak." like you prefer uncooked meat to steak-like meat. i dont know...

Just out of curiosity, can I ask why backwards speech/songs frighten you? I don't mean to be rude or accusing, really! I'd just like to know.

I can't speak for them, but probably because it sounds so bizarre and weird when you reverse sounds.
