download window: you have chosen to open rando.swf
open with: open with flash player and then nothing happens.
save to disk: it does, and nothing else.

Don't open it in Flash Player. Open it in Firefox. (If you use Internet Explorer, go sit in the corner.)

tried that. blank page. download manager opens again.

I wish people would stop writing toolbars for Firefox and start using the Extensions function. Firefox was built to have the Extensions be a much more flexible and integrated part of the browser than a toolbar ever could be. If you write an Extension that is any good, you can get it distributed via the official Mozilla site for free; If you do that, Firefox will periodicly check for updates to it's installed extensions (it looks at what's posted to the Extensions section of the Mozilla site and compares version numbers.) So, not only is Mozilla hosting your extensions for you, they're also leting the browser do the auto-update thing for said extentions.
Beat that with a toolbar (or a crowbar if you just like to bash stuff).

Actually, I've already submitted the toolbar, since toolbars are technically extensions. They're just taking forever to actually host the thing. (It's been "Pending Aproval" for about a week now.)

The base of the ranndo is xml, but that just stores the list of toons that is then accessed by the swf.

As a semi-geek (geek enough to build my own system, but not geek enough to write code,...okay not enough spare time anymore) this toolbar rocks! And it will fit in nicely with my 3:00 login and hitting the rando button habit.

Ok, so the links have been updated now. Download.com and Mozilla.org have both finally come through, so there is a reliable download source, plus automatic updates on the Firefox version.

Sorry for the lack of fixing in the rando, I've been busy with finals and such. I'll have time this week to update that.

So, I said I was going to be gone for a while, but I found some free time over the Thanksgiving holiday to update this toolbar. It has plenty of great new stuff now, including, but not limited to, the ENHANCED RANDO BUTTON. Now, you can use the rando button to randomize JUST ONE SECTION OF THE SITE! Of course, you can also randomize the entire site, just like the old rando button, but if you're in the mood for a SBEmail or a TGS, you can get just what you want and nothing more.

Also includes an update for compatibility with Firefox 2.0 and 3.0a1.

Sorry, no IE release just yet. Maybe in the next week or so I'll have time for that.

It's only an alpha release, no official release yet.
