Well, if you're into movies and stuff and want to do that, get the DVD camera. =P Otherwise, get Sims 2. And check out ModTheSims2.com for lots of cool custom content too. [/plug]
Hey, I need some videos of the Trogdor game, in like an AVI or WMV format or something. Any thoughts on how to do that? Or does anyone have such a video? |

Hehe, no. Was working in a plant nursery. Lost my job 'cause summer is really slow in plant nurseries.
And actually, scratch me calling it SimStar Runner. How 'bout...HomeSim Runner instead. =P |

This is SEWWEET. I have no idea why I haven't posted something here in the first place! The attention to detail in the rooms and the surroundings... I smiled wide when I noticed you remember the "Douglas" sycamore. You rock the awesome sausage socks, Jake!! Keep it up! |

Holy Crapiolies! Thank God I didn't eat raviolies! With maybe some guacamole! This is friggin' awesome. I like how you did Da' Basement. It's like, "Heck, if I can't make a basement, stairs going down will MAKE it a basement!" You added the Douglas tree. Douglas will be happy to hear that he's in a Sim's map! Erm, I would probably do some skins for the characters if I could get The Sims 2. I might try to look for gameplay video of Troggy, but if no one can find any, can you settle with a picture?

I can't do pics...they don't help. Unless you can animate the pics in a sequence to make an AVI and add sound to it

Kay, if I don't find anything, I'll animate a bunch of pics, and try to convert it to AVI, but tommorrow, I'm to tired right now. |

It's too bad you can't link to external programs from within the Sims (..or can you?), or else you could link to the SWF file and make a Trogdor arcade machine that actually works! I have a program thing (not the Sims) that can open outside files, but I don't know it would work like that if I made a Trogdor arcade machine. </ramble> |

Hehe, no, Sims 2 CAN'T do THAT... Sure would be awesome if it could though!
Strong Bad: Hey Bubs, can this Simmy-thing, like, play awesome animated GIFs and stuff? Or...ooh! Can it even play The Cheat's Flash movies?
Bubs: Not yet! *gets to work*

Yup, I'm bumping this thread. You know how some people suggested I should send this in to fanstuff? Well, I did. I sent TBC some screenshots, a link to the video and a link to this thread... This was during their vacation. And I dunno, but I just got the funky feeling that the new border along the ceiling in SB's laundry room might have been TBC's way of daring me, saying "Can you do THIS? Or did you even notice it?" So naturally, that's what I'm gonna do. Just had a thought: In The Sims 2, people never need to do laundry. So there is no washer and dryer. Hmm... I suppose I could put a pair of half-height fridges in the laundry room to LOOK like a washer and dryer. Anyway, I am FINALLY getting back to work on this! I've bored myself of EVERYTHING else right now, and I'm back and ready to start anew! New job, new girlfriend (almost), etc, etc. Don't expect anything too dramatic or amazing, but SCREENSHOTS THURSDAY! (I say that 'cause I gotta get to bed soon tonight, I have plans tomorrow night... So I may not get anything worth posting done until Thursday.) |

But can you do it all for under 50 bucks?
Glad to see your starting this again, can't wait to see the final outcome. |

No dryer? Awh man? Now I can't put The Cheat in the dryer...wait...that's sorta a bad thing. |

I don't think he can. It would take around $400 to $500 for both mini-fridges, and alongside the Homecrafter, I'm thinking the wallpaper will be $1 a panel. Anyway, I'm glad to see this trainwreck's rolling again. I really want to see the final product.

And indeed it is! But... I'm sorry I lied, but I'm just not quite ready to release screenshots tonight. I'm also working on a very SPECIAL treat with a little of the extra room in Strong Bad's house! And then, there's one more awesome thing I'm planning when the neighborhood is done. You shall see. ^_^

Awesome. I'm glad this is being continued- it looked five kinds of awesome. As for it costing much...Chicken, you know that was a reference to redesign, right? As for it costing under 50 bucks, I'm sure he could swing it with cheat codes. |

I know.I just have no idea how to make things cheaper in the game. I know how to make money quick in that game, just not how to make things cheaper. Tomorrow on Redesigning For Under $50: Coach Z's locker room. Just put a couple of air fresheners in. That'll do the trick.

Last time I looked (which was before I finished the house), Strong Bad's house was valued at around $68,000. I added some bells and whistles this morning though, so it may have jumped to about $80,000. The house is essentially finished. Its square-footage has been shrunk quite a bit, but there are still two large, unused rooms. I'll leave them relatively empty so the player can set those up as playrooms or something to that effect...billiards, a bowling alley, whatever. All that remains to be done is to customize a few of the wall hangings. Anyway, I've had a long and *VERY* stressful day...so that means I'm now going to relieve my stress by drinking a margarita and finishing this house! Then, I'll be takin' some screens and, of course, POSTING them! |

Whoo! OK, done. Done, done, done. Now to take screenshots and post. The final value of Strong Bad's house, by the way, clocks in at $104,158. |

As you can see, the neighborhood's layout has changed a bit. This is a result of the Short Shorts...when Pom Pom flew over to Coach Z, it showed that Strong Badia sits in between Bubs' Concession Stand and the grove of trees Pom Pom emerged from. I'm assuming that the grove of trees is the one behind The Stick, so that's what ya got here. The big sloppy plot of land that looks like it used to be farmland is Strong Badia, sitting right between The Stick and good ol' Bubs'. I also moved the Athletic Field to the bottom right corner. It makes sense that if Bubs is selling concessions, he should be near the sporting event he might be selling concessions for...rather than on the other side of town. Because of the Athletic Field being moved, Homestar's House and Coach Z's Locker Room have also been moved, although the Locker Room hasn't been placed yet. Sorry I haven't shown anything of the house yet, except this distance shot. I'm still working on somethin special. It'll be done soon, I swear. =P |
