Last time they did this it was Dungeon Man 3, so is this what they are breaking for?

Peasant's Quest 2 would take FAR more than a few weeks to code. I got the impression TD3 was already done and they were waiting for a time where they could release it intsead of working on a new update all week.

Actually, I don't think they're planning anything special. I was kinda' disappointed that they didn't make a new email or Weekly Fanstuff, but I have already gotten over that.

I'm alternately amused and disgruntled by the conclusions people jump to whenever there isn't an update for awhile.

I'm joking, but you're correct; when people question about Homestar not being updated for a week, they think that something huge is going to happen.

But yeah, it's nothing. They probably had TDM3 done already and put it up so they wouldn't have to update that week, since it was close to when their father had passed away and were probably A) Busy meeting with family and such, and taking a well-deserved break.

Rather Dashing is dead. if there's anything i hate it's another character trying to fill in for the original. another thing i hate is the 'son of' stuff.

Dying doesn't seem to affect H*R characters. I think Rather Dashing could be in PQ 2, as he was in Snowglobe.

They'd just come up with a new character with a name similar to Rather Dashing.

Playing on that very hatred of "son of" sequels would just be something TBC would do anyway though... So if there was a Peasant's Quest 2, we'd be playing as...Rather Homely? Rather Dashing's more boring cousin? Or maybe Videlectrix will controversially try to break the stereotypical male-hero...stereotypes...and we'd be playing as Rather Lovely or something. =P

151 and Thy 3 were probably done BEFORE their father passed on, and they just updated the site at random. They're probably taking a short break to grieve and such.

By the way, I doubt 151 was before their dad's death. Thy Dungeonman 3 was likely beforehand, but 151 was almost certainly made beforehand due to the fact that they put up a "new toon soon" notice, copout aside. Of course, they may have just been building suspense, though.
