Just thought I'd relate this... On a lazy Sunday afternoon, my girlfriend and I were watching Alan Alda blumble ineptly about on the PBS program Scientific American Frontiers. In one scene, he's scuba diving to view some coral fans that are dying of a mysterious fungus. The water was cold and choppy, and when he got back to the boat, the old man was shivering and complaining. Then I suppose he thought better of appearing weak in front of the scientists, for he started mugging to the camera, exclaiming, "I love it!" He paused to shake some water out of his hair, then pumped both fists and inexplicably exclaimed "Science!" To which my girlfriend and I both returned, "Science again! I said science again!" When you find someone as dorky as yourself, you gots to hold onto that someone. |

Well, first off, let me state that watching your language around here is a good thing. Secondly, Alan Alda has a show on PBS? I need to watch that channel moe often. Thirdly, it's awesome that you have a girlfriend that loves H*R. |

Good call. The offending language has been removed. |

I knew that there was something classy about that man. P.S, ramrod, Alan hosts a show called Scientific Frontiers of America, like Dripping Yellow Madness said. He has been hosting it for several years. Of course, you probably didn't know that because it was on PBS. They need to move it to a station where the average viewer isn't under the age of 5. No offense, Dripping Yellow Madness. |

Well, unfortunately Kev, I don't get PBS, so even if I knew that he had a show, I wouldn't be able to watch it.

There are a lot of good shows on PBS. I enjoy Scientific American Frontiers, Nova, Antiques Roadshow, The Red Green Show (R.I.P), Ask This Old House, and Motor Week just to name a few. PBS is a network that is highly underrated. </offtopic> |
