If TBC said to Nintendo "Give us money and we'll let you make games with our characters in them" then that would qualify as "selling out" and "loss of charm" and all that other negative stuff.
But if TBC just bought the Wii SDK and set Jonathan Howe or Paul Slocum or someone on it, and made the game, then it wouldn't be "selling out" any more than their current work is selling out to Adobe (ex. Macromedia). "Loss of charm"... well, it depends on how good the game is, but if it's anything like their current games it would probably be good... and I'm sure they wouldn't release it if it wasn't up to scratch.
Though I don't think either of these could be honestly expected to happen... they seem happy with the Flash stuff.
