If you haven't noticed it by now, at the top of the Wiki is this message;

The Wiki people wrote:
The Homestar Runner Wiki will again be upgrading its server in about an hour.
Expect a downtime of three to four hours. Thank you for your patience.

As you know, a similar message is at the top (well, near the top) of the forums. All we can gather from this is that at about 9:00 PM/10:00 PM central, the Wiki will be going down until either 11:00 PM/12:00 PM central or 12:00 PM/1:00 PM central, and that, apparently, the old servers were experiencing some bugs. If you're a night owl like I sometimes am, then see you in the morning! :cheatgrin:

Feel free to discuss this matter here.

Well, this is exciting, sort of. Grood luck to the admin/ mod team for getting everything to work properly!

It feels so much faster.

oh. is that why the connection was getting timed out a week ago? if so, it's great to know our connection isn't dodgy.

I saw it when it first came up, and I thought it said "7 hours and 35 minutes", not "1 hour and 35 minutes", so when it actually went down, I was confused

I'm glad to see that we're back and everything is up and running fine. I'm also glad to see that the avatars are working, unlike some other times when we done some updating.

Hmmm... I wonder how much hosting will cost per quarter now. Does anyone here know?

It will be the same as before. All we did was upgrade the software that the server runs.

I'm not sure how much per quarter now, but according to the Wiki, it's about $240 a month. I'm not sure if that had gone up though or not.

Very short lecture: For the traffic our site attracts, they certainly don't.
