Soy Sauce is the stuff you have to watch out for.

I think it's soda. Nobody has been seen getting drunk from it, and it was in Where My Hat Is At?, which was pretty much a baby cartoon. I wonder what Cold Ones taste like..

Not only Soy Sauce, but Listerine. That stuff's more than 40% alcohol, after all, and look what it did to Coach Z!

As for what Cold Ones are, they are packaged in what LOOK like beer bottles, but to be perfectly honest, it doesn't really matter much.

In the email Property Of Ones, Strong Bad talks about places where they have "room temperature ones" and "warm ones". Beer is served room-temperature in the UK and sake is traditional served warm, but I've never heard of soda being served at anything but cold. Strong Bad also mentions in suntan that his abs are like a "cold one brewery", which supports the alcohol thesis.

I know far too much (looks around suspicously).

I think I has the answer: In the SB Screensaver (link please?) it says 100% Alcholic Cold Ones.

Cold Ones are clearly alcoholic in nature. I submit the following evidence as proof:

(1) I'm Lutheran.
(2) In "The Property of Ones", one of the not-so-cold ones was called Liquid Bread. This is a reference to many of the thick European type beers, like Stouts and Ports.
(3) The Kerrek, a teetotaler, was offended by your offer to buy him one. If it was just a soda, he would not have pounded your head into the ground.

It's too bad you guys who voted "soda" must learn to live with your mistake. But I'll forgive you.

P.S. Did you know that the oldest document in existence is a Sumerian Cold One recipe? Apparently, early man knew exactly what God invented barley for.

Actually, Hysterical Woman, I went to Romania this summer and it's much less weird to them to drink warm soda than for us. And even if it's refrigerated, it almost never has ice in it. And perhaps freakiest, when you ask for water, the default is naturally carbonated mineral water, unless you specify non-bubbly. (And warm, of course.)

I'd never seen the SB screensaver, so that was new to me, but as far as I know that's the ONLY admission that they're alcoholic. I'm willing to bet you can't find the word "beer" anywhere in the HR corpus!

Speaking of character's drinking habits, perhaps the next poll should be: Is melonade addictive?

What does that have to do with the subject? Can you not drink beer because of your religion? I'm just courious(sp?)

Number B: can somebody send me a link to that screen saver, I think it's really cool.

I believe it's linked to on the Wiki's secret pages section. You can get the screensavers more directly here, though

Also, Didymus was probably just joking around when he included his Lutheranness. Kind of like how certain people at message boards will go, for a quick, sucky example I came up with off the top of my head, "The Matrix is far superior to Blade Runner, and I know this because I'm a orthodontist!" Their credentials have absolutely nothing to do with the point they're asserting, but they bring it up anyway.

Lutherans can drink. I'm a former Lutheran, so I know that. My grandfather used to be a Methodist (who can't drink) but became a Lutheran (who can drink). Guess why. Now he's a Catholic, because his new wife is. Enough pointless info.

You know, because of this topic, I've now set the Strong Bad screensaver as my default. What can I say? Strong Bad looks great in that hat.

It was a good thing to do, because a certain StrongZysk isn't of drinking age and drinking can really mess up your life.

Martin Luther, the 15th century monk who started the Reformation (hence the name, LUTHERan), was noted for his love of Cold Ones. We Lutherans have no problem with MODERATE, RESPONSIBLE alcohol use. We only object to ABUSIVE, EXCESSIVE use.

Drink Responsibly, Kids! That is unless your under 21. Then don't drink at all. Except maybe soda, or maybe like some Cool Ade, or some tea. Would you believe sports drinks?

Ermn..I've gotta say alcohol due to the many e-mails n' stuff where a "cold one" is shown as a bottle of beer.

and hey...i'm not legal drinking age, but cold ones are sure good!
