Is it possible to fullscreen a flash cartoon on the internet? The main reason I ask is I'd like to record some cartoons I like to DVD to show friends who don't have internet or just to have to watch at any time. Not Homestar of course cause you can buy those on DVD, but things like The Demented Cartoon Movie and The Smurfs Lost Episode. Things like that. Any info?

I believe there's a Greasemonkey script that can do that, but as far as I know it's only for Homestar.

what you're doing sounds illegal, if it's not homestar it doesn't belong here, the demeneted cartoon movie sucks (brian kendell told me himself), and the smurfs lost episode is overrated. i'm not helping.

If he's just showing it to a few friends and not making any money, then it's not illegal.

There's indeed a software to do that, it's 40 bucks.

Least informative answer ever.

If you know the software is 40 bucks, then one would suppose you know the name of the software, and perhaps a web site where one can find more information about it. And yet, you decided not to provide any of that information... why?

You could try finding the swf urls of the flash cartoons and display your browser on full-screen mode, but it's still not exactly fullscreen. Sorry that I can't really help out beyond that though.

Yeah, flash cartoons don't exactly have with a specific size. I think they have default sizes, but it's basically vector animation so they can go bigger and smaller easily without losing quality. When you use some program to convert them to another movie format (I don't know of any), it would probably let you choose a size.

if you find the url of the cartoon, then you can save it to your computer by making a link directly to the swf file, right clicking, and selecting "Save Link As/Save Target As." Once it's one your computer, you can look at it in flash player and resize the window to however big you want it.

As for the DVDs, I don't have much experience in that area. You might be able to do it with a normal DVD burning program, but i'm not sure.

Congratulations! You broke my lazy streak and made me log in! I guess this should be moved to somewheres else, but doa little something like this:
1. Google: "swf to avi video scout" > I'm feeling lucky
2. Download your .swf file
3. Put one and two together!
4. Use Nero or whatever and burn, baby burn
