Well, I'ma get me 20 more dollars thanks to the Patriots victory. I could get 40 if they beat the Giants by 5 or more in the Big Game.

Your time will come. If the Patriots aren't in the playoffs.

That won't happen until Brady and/or Belichick(sp?) retires.

Hey BTG, your Giants might want to shut their mouths. You know what Belichick does with bulletin board material like what they've been spouting.

Kevin DuBrow wrote:
The Patriots are starting to turn into the Yankees of football. (not about the fact that they win, but the fact that everyone outside their local area hates them)

I don't care about your reasoning. Never say that again. The Pats are NOTHING like the Yankees.

Uh no?

The Pats were in, and they beat San Diego last year. We all know they lost to Indy in the AFC championship, but they were in the playoffs, and they did beat the Chargers.

Ooops.
I read that as Super Bowl, not playoffs.

The Pats won't be missing the playoffs for a while. Especially with the AFC East being as totally worthless as it is.

I agree. The AFC East has to be the worst division in football, outside of the Patriots.

The best division is the NFC East. They had three teams in the playoffs, and a fourth team (Philly) that was starting to get healthy towards the end of the season and were playing lights out.

I beg to differ. I happen to think the AFC West is the worst division in-not just football-but in all of sports. The Chiefs, Raiders, and Broncos are much too easy to handle, and all they do is freaking lose.

The NL Central begs to differ.

The NFC West is just worse than the AFC West. Seattle is the only team with a winning record. St. Louis sucks. San Fran has had nothing since Steve Young retired and the Cardinals are the NFL version of the LA Clippers.

On the other end of the spectrum, the best division in the NFL is the NFC East. In each of the last two seasons, 3 out of the 4 teams in that division have gone to the playoffs.

The NL West will argue right back.

Same goes for the AFC East, just substitute New England for Seattle. Not to mention at least in the NFC West, Arizona was .500. No one in the AFC East except the Pats was.

A CHALLENGER APPEARS
NFC South
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9-7
Carolina Panthers 7-9
New Orleans Saints 7-9
Atlanta Falcons 4-12

They were also lucky to even get to the playoffs and got blown out when they played a much better AL team in the World Series. Don't look for the Rockies this coming postseason, they won't be there.

Save it for the baseball thread. This thread is about American Football.

EDIT: No the SF Giants are going no where.

Right.

Changing the subject to an opposite of the one we're talking about now, the AFC South is the best, most difficult division in the NFL. That's not even debatable. When the worst team finishes .500, you know you've got a tough division.

No, the best division is still the NFC East. In the last two seasons, half of the NFC's playoff teams have come from that division.

Recently no, but that division has produced three NFC Championship teams this decade.

Historically, there is no division that has produced more Super Bowl Champions than the NFC East.

The NFC East is also one of the first divisions in NFL history.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm about sick of this coverage that Brady keeps getting because of his ankle or foot or whatever's bothering him. Is he looking for the publicity or something? How else could you explain walking to his girlfriends house with the boot? If he would've had somebody send her the flowers because he didn't want to take away the team's focus, I'm sure she would understand. This whole boot incident could be the undoing of the Patriots because you know Strahan and the rest of the defense is going to exploit it.

And yeah, I'm really just venting here.

I don't think right before the Super Bowl is a good time to look for publicity, and Brady is smart and humble enough to know that. He took his boot off, which proves that even if he was looking for publicity, his interest to do so was lost.

Brady would never "look for publicity".

He's not hurt. He hasn't worn the boot in days. He's perfectly fine.

Are you sure? Then how come he had a little smirk on his face while he was "walking to his girlfriend's house?

Which is why he was NOTICABLY favoring his other ankle in the press conference. I saw it on ESPN, because they apparently have a foot fetish. The shot showed him walking up to the podium, favoring his other foot.

Not trying to be hostile, just somethings I'm noticing.

Uhhh maybe because his girlfriend is completely smoking hot? Or maybe he's just happy?

He has looked fine in every workout/practice I saw him in. He was fine at the Patriots send-off at Gillette Stadium the other day.

Speaking of Tom, he got a wedding proposal from some woman named Inez on media day. Anyone else see this and find it hysterical?
