The George Carlin book I ordered just arrived.

I'm happy to say that it is larger than some of my school textbooks.

This weekend, HBO was showing some of his specials.

I got an idea from him.
If something should happen to me and people want to give me a moment/minute/whatever of silence, I would rather have a moment/minute/whatever of screaming.

I would have expected some of the more religious users here to be more critical of Carlin's work, but apparently not. I approve.

Well, for one, even if I was critical of his work, it'd be kinda hard for me to be too over the top about it for someone so recently deceased.

For the second, beyond some kind of a knee-jerk response inducing joke, George Carlin was never really critical of religion. The only thing I can imagine the religious types doing that about would be when he did his "Religion is BS" routine, and that wasn't even attacking religion, just pointing out how it looked to him.

I was surprised ol' Fred didn't manage to turn it into a rant on homosexuality. I mean, he managed to turn even 9/11 into that.
