I recommend all of you who enjoy scifi to read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, one of the best books I've ever read.

I'll be reading that for school next week.

I'm reading The Stand right now. I'm getting a lot of comments about it.

Reading Great Expectations for English and The Glass Menagerie for drama. I was also trying to read Thud! for myself, but that's due back at the library soon, and I've only got through the first 70-some pages. Ah, well. For a while, I was also reading Poison, and I would say the author if I could remember, and I would have finished it, but then I didn't.

I'm also reading Great Expectations for class... I'm not enjoying it at all. I'm halfway through reading The Scarlet Letter and Dracula, but I've made no progress in either for weeks.

I have made some progress in.. Da Big Book! Alternately known as Da Bible.

Ok, I finished reading The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton. It seems like in all the good books I read, someone dies. :-?

Roffle waffle.

I've been reading a whole ton of books. Next up are Peter and the Starcatchers, and afterwards Inkspell.

Woot, woot.

I'm reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis (for school), and The Egypt Game. I need to read 20 specific books by April. Battle of the Books.

Only 9 days left till the movie, you know. It looks so real...

Anywhom, tomorrow I'ma swing by the public library and see if i can snag the novel version of SW Episode III. It's gotta be better than the movie. I do hate that actor who does Anakin. :p

Go Jesty!

In other news I've been waiting for the order form the library for WEEKS! It included Insomnia and The Running Man.

After finishing up Insomnia, I took The Catcher in the Rye out from the library. I'd never read it, and it's supposed to be good.

I like it so far.

Oy, I'm totally behind on reporting my readings. A month or so ago I finished A Fire Upon the Deep by Vernor Vinge, an excellent "hard sci-fi" novel. Longish and a bit of a challenge, but ultimately I highly recommend it. After that I picked up William Gibson's Idoru. Fascinating mid-late era cyberpunk, and a great read, but the ending was slightly unsatisfying. I finished that earlier this week and now I'm on to Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams, which I've read before but thought it deserved another read (and indeed, it does).

The number of books on my wishlist is quickly spiraling out of control. If anyone wants to stem the chaos, feel free to buy me books so's I can take them off my wishlist.

We're just starting to read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn in English class. I have high hopes for this book.

I just finished The Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy, by Douglas Adams. He has a Mac, you know.

Now I'm reading Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code, by Eoin Colfer. Artemis has a Mac too.

Having finished Great Expectations (and I pray I'll never have to read that book again), I've moved on to Al Franken's Lies, and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them. Then, probably back to Pratchett where I belong.

I'm reading 'The Shroud of the Thwacker'.

Basically the most hilarious book I've ever read (maybe second to Hitchikers, I'm not done with The Shroud yet).

Once again, I'm totally behind. I just finished Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (one of Douglas Adams' other books) and now I'm going on a nostalgia trip and re-reading all of my Elfquest books. I have the Reader's Collection volumes 1-10 (which is actually 15 books, 'cause of "Vol 8b" and such), plus a couple more. I'm currently on Vol. 3 (they're quick reads). Such a trip.

Macs rock.

And Douglas had a Mac.... sadly, he passed away in 2001. *sigh*

Yes they do.

And... yeah, I read about Douglas dieing at the end of the book, in the little section about making the movie.
