One could say this prank had the worst timing, what with the recent incident.

I, for one, think it had perfect timing. That's why I liked it so much.

Man, I should have kept Dormar in the dark. Then he could have gotten pwn'd, too. ;)
Actually, I found out about it before you told me. I knew the basic stuff, and you filled in the rest. The mods needed to be in on it, or else it could have been really bad.

If this doesn't win best moment in the Winter Awards, I'll be shocked beyond belief.

Well, after reading all this and seeing how it went down, I have no choice but to draw the following conclusion:

I am an Evil Genius.

Notice I capitalized that. That makes it more official.

My only fear is that we won't be able to pull off anything like this in the future. I'll be all "COLA, you're banned!" and everyone'll just say "Whatever, See. You're such a card!" and no one will take me seriously.

I know how to fix it! Teff, you're re-banned!

;)

Thanks to everyone involved. Ace, you were a particularly good help. Oh, and Stu? Can I have my redness back? I haven't had a blue username in a LONG LONG time.

Anyway, Happy Forumday, Tefferton!

Man, I had no idea what was going on most of the time, but yet I still got pwned in the midst of it.

Happy Forumday, Teff.

It really is weird to see your name in blue. And why do I have this sneaking feeling that your new Title is going to be changed to "Evil Genius"?

Teff, SeeThroo - you're both total jerkwads for doing this. Seriously. And here's why.....

This would have been hilarious under any other circumstance, but the fact that you just had to use Alexander's departure as the butt of the joke is just disgusting. Sorry, but it is. I don't care that you didn't like him, but you could have just left him out of this.

*sigh*

I won't make an issue of this, and sorry for being a wet blanket. Just be careful of other people's feelings in future, eh?

Happy forumday anyway, Teff. You jerkwad. ;)

Alexander wasn't the butt of the joke, dude. It was the entire forum.

Alec had NOTHING to do with any of this...the timing was just a little off. By the way, you should really try to log in before you post.

I was logged in, Ramrod, and the system logged me out. SeeThroo - I know you didn't intend to make Alexander the butt of the joke, but the effect was that you did. Just....... be more careful in future, a'ight?

Otherwise, it would have been pretty funny.

Yeah, sorry. I took a bit to type that (I was distracted), and I didn't see your post afterwards.

Man...

That's pretty darn funny. I guess this demonstrates to all of us the power of Teff's per-sway-shun (do you think you would have the balls to ask an admin to help you pull something this big?)

I appluad the prticipants of this, you guys did a great job at making this forum drama queen HQ for a while.

In retrospect this has helped the forum, by almost causing the downfall of the forum(serously, you were close) you've shown how much this means to us. Then by turning it into a joke, everyone laughs and becomes friends again! I forgot to say this in my last post too: HAPPY FORUMDAY TEFF!!! YOUR TEH GREATEST!!

Couldn't have said it better myself. I think the forum came out of this a lot better going in. This was much more effective than a morale-inducing speech someone could give.

Oh, by the way Teff, you owe me the hour or so of sleep I lost last night. AND HAPPY FORUMDAY!!!!

Hopefully, this also shows people how easily they get bent out of shape over things that, in the grand scheme of things, really don't matter.

I mean, we had people who spent the whole day upset, sick, etc. over this. 10 years from now, is it really going to matter if someone you don't know bans someone you don't know from a forum discussing an internet cartoon?
If yes, then you probably need to re-evaluate your priorities in life.
If no, then you're probably ok.
Either way, I hope you can laugh at this. I know we did.

You have been warned about that, something like 10-15 times in the last two days. You're asking for a REAL temp ban.

Alexander was not mentioned once by either Teff or Seethroo. Teff posted about him in the series that ended up getting him banned, but other than that, Alex was not a part of it at all. And even if he was, which he wasn't, I would have been the butt of the joke just as much.

This is what I meant by it being the best/worst timing. I still think it was hilarious and had the best timing possible, what with all the crazy drama going on right now.

No...the effect was that the entire forum was the butt of the joke. Everyone who got bent out of shape. Everyone who got angry/reacted in some way. Everyone who actually left because of this. THOSE people were the butt of the joke.

I found another odd clue: In Teff's third message, the title was "oops, triple post".

Surpised I didn't catch that before.

I'm gone for three effing days and this is what happens?

Jeez.... I'm out for a little while and everyone gets delusions of grandeur.... [/Han] :P

Yeah.

Wow, I'm glad I missed this.

Because that wasn't funny.

That was not funny. No. Not at all. Teff, Seethroo, you should both be ashamed of yourself.

I really would have expected better from you guys. I really would have. I was effing scared there! I thought Teff was gone forever! That's not the way that Teff should go out. Not even pretendily. Yes, I know that's not a word.

Anyway. Back to work, I suppose. Oh wait, nobody here ever does any work. :P

It's those triple-post posts that I'm talking about. It just makes me think that Tef wasn't being very genuine when he said that he didn't intend to drive Alexander off.

It's just that if I were in Alexander's position - and if I left because people were b----ing about me - I'd be pretty peed off if SeeThroo and Teff used my leaving as a spur to set up their sketch.

But whatever. I'm not as mad about this as I was about this. That's all I'll say about it. [/wet blanket]

Hey, you're entitled to your own opinion, and yeah, if this had been based on Alexander leaving, that would have been kinda bad (it would have still been hillarious), but it was set to happen on Teff's anniversary (and planned a couple days ago, I think).

Agreed. It's one thing to bring it up every now and then - by which, I mean maybe once or twice a month - but the number of "ramrod wore a dress" comments I've seen lately is just ridiculous. Let the man be, for Pete's sake. Robin Williams wore a heck of a lot worse than a dress in Mrs. Doubtfire, but I'm sure he doesn't get fanmail every day saying "Oh, we haven't forgotten about when you wore that dress!" I mean, come on! It's not that odd for a guy to wear a dress for comedy, and the joke is just getting old now. It's not funny anymore.

Now, toastpaint.

Since I forgot two posts in a row, HAPPY FORUMDAY, TEFF!!!Image
