Hit me with a fish if this has ABP. But a simple question: Where do you shop? Like, for stuff? Any kind of stuff? I generally do most of my shopping at Target. It's like the only big all-encompassing store within walking distance for me. Also, they've got a lot of stuff, which is useful. And their gift cards are AWESOME, though I honestly don't know what that has to do with me shopping there.

Randalls or WalMart, mostly. Sometimes I'll drop into a Borders...though I really need to find a good local store that has Magic: the Gathering cards. Their website said that my local Borders had them, but I have yet to see any at that store....and WalMart only has one or two theme decks at best, so not much of a selection there. Oh, well. What's sadder is that all the H&H Music stores here are closing...and this after Mars Music went out of business some years ago, leaving H&H the only major music store in the city. |

Oh boy. Put me in a book store, and you won't be able to pull me out for HOURS. Anyway, check around in your local malls if you've got 'em; maybe the Yellow Pages. Look for game and hobby shops. Even comic book shops are a good bet. |

i do a bunch at target, and Hannaford when i need food. my school has a convenience store that i can use my meal plan at, too. so that's good stuff. as for other stuff... there's this sweet littel store called the bookworm, and the lil old lady is really nice there. she gave me a TS eliot book for basically free because she told me she thinks i'm one of her only customers who could appreciate it. *swoon* heh, and then i like Bull Moose Music. because they have a killer vinyl section and other cool stuff, and the people there actually know about music. |

I can swear that my mom swears by Aldi's unless it's something that doesn't come there at all. In Amerika, is the poor people store!
Me? Generally Jewels and the big-time stores (but with an equal amount of small-time) for food, and Hot Topic for shirts. Seriously, it's the only place where I can get a good shirt without being too... stupid. Like, something we've heard a thousand times and instead has something fresh like this Foamy Attention Deficit Disorder shirt. But, the H*R Online store has some good/great shirts. By Christmas, I'll get a Municipality shirt!
So... mainly small/medium-time stores

They keep them behind the desk, on the bottom shelf, so you have to jump to see them. It's annoying, but if you ask, they'll get them for you. At least that's what they do here. I go to Wal-Mart and Barnes & Noble. Between them, they have everything I could possibly need. |

Go ahead, shoot me. These are nice clothes, I like them, they're well-made and comfortable, and this is where I stand. You're gonna have a hard time making me move. |

Wal-Mart, otherwise known as Big Fun-Box Supermart. They have boxes for all kinds of big box lovers: the Slave Driver Fun Box, The Super China-Type Playtime Spikey Box O' Fun, the Extra-Globalization Mom-and-Pop-Store-Ultra-Kill Box, and, of course, the old standard: the Minimum Wage Awexome-Boxx0rz. OK, I still go to Wal-Mart, or at least I'm dragged there. Most of the time when I'm shopping, it's either at a bookstore, or I'm being forced to. My parents usually go to Costco, where they have even bigger boxes! |

I usually go to JC Penny's for clothing. I don't really like big-name clothing. I dunno why, but it never holds up for me. And yet I have a 10-buck shirt I bought five years ago that still fits. I also love Hot Topic's tees, but a wardrobe consisting of nothing but them would get old fast. |

Yes! I also do go to clothes for Sears, and sometimes Wal*Mart for games if it's just casual. And Cola your sig is hilarious. XD |

Ditto the second, but I'm not sure I trust the first enough to buy off it. XD |

For clothes I like to go to consignment stores and Marshalls. For food I go to Shaw's mostly. For other stuff I go to Wal-Mart or Target. |

i'm with ya on wal-mart, snork. i can smell the desperation and lack of proper wages and health care every time i go. i still shop there, sometimes. fortunately, not having a car helps me stay away from malls and i like supporting the local economy. any people who know Portland know that we tend to be pretty cool about keeping huge chains outta downtown. so i like stuff like Longfellow Books and Videoport (best video store EVER!) and all those other small, private businesses. |

Well, the only store I'm known as a regular in is GameStop (or EBGames... they're the same thing now, anyways). All the people who work there know me and Eldiran by name. As for clothes, I shop at Hot Topic. Don't give me any "lol pzr" crap. Their t-shirts are perfect for my sarcastic wit, and they have tons of nerd gear. For example, I have a Hellsing hoodie, a hoodie with the Hyrulian shield and two Biggoron's swords crossed behind it, a World of Warcraft hoodie, a "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." t-shirt, a Night of the Living Dead poster, all from Hot Topic. I'm a nerd, and Hot Topic is my store. |

i used to shop there in HS. it was awkward because i was a kippie kid though and i think a lot of people disdained me. that's okay because i disdain "rave pants" right back. aaaanyway, i gotta admit i got some pretty good shirts there. and that inigo montoya shirt sounds mighty fine. i only have issues with people that think shopping there makes them incredibly different and/or punk or whatever it is that kids try and be these days (and i get the feelin' that noone here is quite like that). man, i wish i was an old man so i could say "kids these days" all the time. |

Actually, I've always seen Hot Topic as more of a nerd store than a punk store. If one of your t-shirts says "Anybody Want A Peanut?" or simply displays The Numbers, you're pretty much nerdcore. |

Hot Topic. Yes. Cool. Wal-Mart. Yes. Uncool. I hate Wal-Mart. When I get rich, I'm so boycotting Wal-Mart. As MC Lars says, "Hot Topic is not punk rock!" Yeah, I guess we are nerds on the inside, but we like to think of Hot Topic as... "alternative."
